Have a Little Heart

Once again it's been a cold week here in the Thumb of Michigan and we have more snow on the way for the weekend and the potential for even more next week.  Will this winter ever end?  It puts such a damper on getting out, but one good thing is when you are home you can always hit the stamp room.  If it's not too cold that is. ;)  Since my room is in the basement sometimes it has just been plain to cold even with running the heater.

It seems that Sale-a-bration is off to a slow start for me and most of it is due to the weather, but I've got something to show you using SAB goodies.

I got the great idea for this candy heart from a sweet demo by the name of Brenda Quintana.  I'm not sure if I told you all, but when I was at convention I got to meet Brenda and in fact we sat next to her in opening session.  It was a real treat to meet her since I only had known her from online.  She is just as sweet in person.  She in fact gave me one of her butterfly kiss treats.

Here I've used the new set Banner Blast to decorate the heart and I didn't have to cut these banners out.  I used the new Banner punch so it was quick and easy.  You can choose one of these items for FREE with a $50 order right now.  Place a $100 order and you can get both.  How exciting huh?  And don't forget if you host a party (in-home or book or even an individual order) and you have sales of $300 or more you get an additional $30 in hostess benefits.  WOO HOO!!!  It's a great time to host.  Just contact me and I'll get you all set up and on your way to earning not only the already great hostess benefits, but an additional $30 as well.

Thanks for stopping by.
Blessings,
Renee

Hey Friends!

I know I've been so inconsistant lately here on my blog.  Well if truth be known, I've been pretty inconsistant in a lot of things lately.  I know most people would not be so open and admit that, but if you've been around here long, you know that one thing I am is up front with you all.  After all, I feel like my blog readers are my friends and if you can't be up front with friends, who can you be?  Right?  Guess this first part is a little confessional, but I find it theraputic to share my heart and where I'm at in my life.  Actually I wish I know where I was in my life.  I'm not going to lie.  Fifty hasn't been a great number.  Lots of changes with the biggest being "the change".  Some of you can maybe relate?  With all that being said, I'm so thankful that one thing in my life stays consistant and that is God's love for me.  He loves me through all this and for that I'm so blessed.  He loves me even on those days when I'm not very unloveable.  That in and of itself is an amazing thing.  Remember that when you feel unloveable....God still loves us no matter what.  He loved us so much that He sent His son to die for us. (John 3:16)  Amazing love, how can it be?

Well if you've stuck with me through that, thanks, if not so much then I hope you at least enjoy the stamping I'm about to share with you.  I'm not even sure what I've shared lately and frankly I'm not in the mood to go back and look.  LOL!  I'm going to clean my desktop up a little and show you a few projects.  Enjoy!

This is a frame that we made at my Create for Christmas class in November.  I don't think I've shared this with you.  This stamp is available yet through January 31, 2014.  It comes in clear mount only 134811 and sells for $6.95.  I just love this verse so this is one that will stay in my collection.  The frame came from Walmart and was a great match to our Gold Foil Paper 132622 and sells for $3.95 for 2 12 x 12 sheets.  Gold is REALLY in right now and I love it!!!  Have you noticed all the gold in the Occasions catalog?  I love that Stampin'Up! keeps up with the trends.

This card is one that I sent out to all those who placed an order in December.  I had said anyone who placed an order during December would receive a handstamped card from me and this is the one I made.  The stamp set and DSP are both available in the Occasions catalog. (So Very Grateful wood 133050 $22.95 or clear 133053 $16.95)  (Fresh Prints DSP stack 132996 $6.95)

This card here is one I was just playing around with.  I had purchased just before Christmas the Script Background stamp.  I've wanted this stamp for so long and decided to finally get it.  Yes, we all know what that means.  It will probably retire come May.  LOL!  I saw where Patty Bennett had used the Watercolor Wonder DSP  132994 $10.95 and used the Petite Petals punch 133322 $12.95 to just punch out the petals from this beautiful paper.  I popped them up on dimensionals and added some Self-adhesive Pearls for a quick and easy card.  The flourish part comes from the set Everything Eleanor.

Well if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.  I would love to help you.  Thanks for stopping by and I will really try and work on that consistancy thing.  ;)

Blessings,
Renee

New Occasion Mini Items

I've been working with my stuff from the New Occasions Mini Catalog.  This card here has lots of new stuff.  The stamp set is called People Like You.  This is a single stamp.  I know it doesn't look like it, does it?  The great thing is you can stamp this and leave as is or stamp it again and then use the decorative lable punch to punch out the words.  To give it the layered look I took the Real Red marker and colored in the line that goes around this shape.  I then punched it out and attached with dimensionals to give it further dimension.  Did you notice how the layer behind this looks textured?  It's a new Framelit set called On Film.  It makes it look sort of like a Poleroid camera picture.  It not only cuts, but embosses and I used a sponge and went over the Whisper White paper with Coastal Cabana ink.  The bottom circle is from the new Framelit set Starburst Framlit Dies.

You can purchase all these items by visiting my store HERE or by contacting me.  Hope you've enjoyed this today.

Renee

In the Stamp Room

Well I've spent some time in the stamp room the last couple of days so I've got some things to share with you over the next few days.

This card was fun to make using a new stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog.

The stamp set is called Petite Petals.  I've linked this set with the matching punch that comes in a bundle.  You can buy the stamp set separately from the punch as well as purchase it in wood mount or clear mount.  I'm sure though you are going to want the matching punch.  These flowers are so cute, quick and easy to stamp and punch out.  I used Strawberry Slush for the flowers and the leaves were punched with the Build a Bird punch and Pistachio Pudding cardstock.  The words are from the Blooming with Kindness stamp set.  Instead of using the full phrase Warmest Wishes on your Birthday I chose to use the Strawberry Slush marker and just color in the words Warmest Wishes.  Now this card can be used for most any occasion.

As always everything is Stampin'Up! and can be purchased from my STORE or by contacting me direct.  Thanks for stopping by.

Blessings,
Renee

Happy New Year!!!

I can't believe it's been since before New Year's that I posted last.  Time goes so fast.  We've had a few things going on.  My sister Michele's fiance Rick was diagnosed with colon cancer just before Christmas and it was a big shock for all of us.  He's only 43 years old and very healthy so it came as a big blow.  He had surgery last Friday and they removed 18" of his colon and a tumor the size of a softball.  He is now home and doing well, but waiting for the path report.  Doctor didn't think that it looked like it had spread anywhere, but we won't know for sure until the report comes back then they will proceed as needed with any more treatment.  Just as a little side note and to give God the praise in all of this I would like to share a little more about their story. They met on line on of all places www.farmersonly.com.  They met in March of this past year on line, he moved here (Michigan) from Nevada in late April.  They hit it off and as they say the rest is history.  It all seems so strange, but knowing now what we know is that God brought them together to save Rick's life.  We are sure of that.  You see he never would have gone to the doctor had she not encouraged/made him go.  He had only recently been having some stomach problems and thought maybe it was an ulcer.  The doctor said another 2 months and he would have had a rupture and died.  The Lord indeed works in mysterious ways.  We are praying for a good report

Ok, on to some creating.  I haven't done much since Christmas Eve.  I was tired and needed a little break I guess and besides that we have been experiencing such cold temps that it's hard to want to come to my stamp room in the basement.  It has heat and I have a small heater as well, but it's been so frigid with the temps in single digits and the windchills in the minus.  Yes, it was -31º just yesterday.  Brrrr.............  Today is warmer at 12º, the roads have been plowed and it looks like schools will be open for the first time this year.  I won't even get started on the amount of snow.  So anyway I came to the stamp room today and finished this wreath that I had started about a week ago.

This is a new kit that is available in the new Occasions Catalog.  You can find this kit HERE.  I will be offering a class to make this kit here at my home so if you are local and interested in attending drop me a message and let me know.  Everything you see here comes in the kit except that I added some Pistachio Pudding leaves.  Oh and you'll need a glue gun as well.  This kit is so simple even a beginner would have no problems with this.  Not local?  You can still order this kit from my website. This kit comes with directions as well.

Well hopefully this will get me back into the swing of things.  Thanks for stopping by.
Blessings,
Renee
