"OSAT Blog Hop – All You Need is Love”

Welcome to my blog and the OSAT Blog Hop - All You Need is Love!  There is going to be some amazing projects this month even though while I'm writing this I have no idea what everyone else has made, I do know that I am hopping with some of the most amazing and talented bloggers there are.  It's going to be great!  So lets get started.  I knew in my mind what products I wanted to use for this hop because I had some new products that I was dying to use. Here is my card.

The way this photographed wasn't the best.  It was after dark when I took my pics and I tried the best I could with my lighting set up, but I think you'll see it much better in the final photograph.  I had to use the gorgeous Falling in Love DSP from the Occasions catalog.  The minute I saw that paper I knew it was a must have.  The designs are sooooo pretty,  I also used the ribbon from the SAB catalog.  That ribbon is the best and you get both silver and gold in a 2 pack and is one of your choices with a $50 order during SAB.  I then pulled out a couple of favs from last year that are in the current catalog....Bloomin' Heart Thinlits and also the banner in this is from the Large Numbers Framelits?  Do you have those?  To me they are a must because well let's face it the heart is just gorgeous all by itself and the numbers with the banner can be used for lots of occasions as well.   I popped the Bloomin' Heart up with some dimensionals and those flowers inside the heart make it super easy to put the dimensionals behind them.

Now onto my 3D project.  3D projects have always been my soft spot when it comes to crafting.  I love to make little things that can become gifts or decorations.  My brand new Window Box Thinlits was going to fit the bill.  When I showed my daughter what my 3D project was she immediately asked if I could make her one for her Valentine decorations.  She reminded me it had been since 2014 since I had made her a Valentine decoration.  I've given her cards with candy goodies and usually a gift card, but I guess it's been awhile since I gave her a decoration.  I feel bad that I haven't, but it makes me feel good that she's noticed and even knew the year.  I'm thinking when she decorated for Valentine's she knew how long it had been because I date the stuff I give them.  I think handing down homemade things is so important and want my girls to have fond memories when they pull their collections out.

This box to me is so elegant and I filled it with chocolate peanut butter hearts wrapped in silver foil to match the silver ribbon.  I cut 2-1/2" squares for the six sides of the box and that is the same DSP I used on my card.  To finish it off I used the Thoughtful Banners bundle to add a I LOVE YOU on the top.  I punched some Blushing Bride glimmer paper using the Confetti Hearts punch and added one to each side of the banner.  To attach the banner I used dimensionals once again.
