When it rains, it snows and blows

Lots of ways you can take my post title for today. When I posted on Monday I told you I was working to help the Steinman's out, but that changed quickly. By the time I left the office on Monday evening I wasn't feeling the best and by Tuesday morning, I was down for the count. Today is Friday and I think I might live. So just like we started out the week weather wise, I guess you could say I had the same thing health wise. Warm, cold, rain, ice, snow............good old Michigan weather. Ok, so I've lost almost a week and I need to get back to business. Hope you all are staying nice and warm. Look for new postings later.......maybe even today. Until then, did you all receive your Sale-a-bration Mini Catalog? If you have, please leave a comment on this post and let me know that yours arrived safely. If you haven't received yours yet email me and let me know. Sale-a-bration is an exciting time and you won't want to miss out on your chance to receive FREE stamp sets (or as in the case this year, SU exclusive 4 color rub-ons) Call me today to book your workshop or place an order.
Later,
Renee

Please be patient

Hello Blog Checkers,

Just a little up date here. I was at the Bay Shore Camp scrapbooking and stamping retreat this past weekend and just let me say I had a wonderful time. It's a great time to see old friends and to make new ones. Bay Shore has had such positive feedback on this event that they have decided to add another one in the fall. The dates are October 17 & 18. If you love to scrapbook and or stamp, like good food and Christian fellowship then I encourage you to attend this event. It's a great refreshing time and your's truly has been asked to be there as a vendor again in the fall. I am truly honored and I will have my stamps, ink, and punches and will be available to help you with your scrapin' and stampin' needs. And of course with a special project for you to make if you so choose. This really is a great time, so even if you've never attended such an event give it a try. I promise you won't be disappointed.

If I don't post any projects or pics for a few days, please be patient. No I'm not falling off the end of the earth, but I am helping answer the phones for the Steinman Insurance agency in Pigeon for a couple of weeks. The twin girls have been born and they are doing great and coming home today, but daddy Jim is a little busy, ( *grin*) and needs someone for answering the phone. That's it! I'm not and I repeat, NOT looking for a full time job. I have a stamping business and wonderful customers whom I am happy to serve, but I will be helping Jimmy for a short time. I've told them though that they need to put in the baby books that they were so loved "aunt" Renee sacrificed and helped during this time in their lives. Now I just can't wait to kiss those cheekies! The babies, not the parents. (he-he) Boy I'm funny today! Must be the lack of sleep from the weekend.

So my stampin' friends, take care and I will be back soon with lots of posts. Sale-a-bration is just around the corner--starts Friday, Feb. 1 and runs through March 17, so you won't want to miss out. Call me ASAP to book your own SU workshop and earn extra free stamp sets to boot. I have lots of new ideas to show you too.
Blessings,
Renee

Berry Bliss Mailbox

Well you all know about the $ spot at Target, don't you? I, of course have to take a stroll through there when I get to Target. You just never know what goodies might be hiding there. Luckily for me they had the mailboxes again this year and I of course had to pick a couple up. I used the DSP Berry Bliss to cover it and the One of a Kind and Boho background stamp sets to embellish it. I used a rub-on on the bottom of the door even though it's hard to see in the picture. I used rub-ons years ago and I have to say that these are pretty classy and very easy to use, unlike some of the old kind. I used sticky strip tape and the new mono multi glue to adhere it all. Now if I can make myself give this away. Not sure if I can. *Ü*

Happy Hearts Mouse

Isn't this little mouse just the cutest? I had really thought I didn't need this set, but after seeing lots of cute ideas and after all it is part of the Valentine Bundle special this month, I had to order it. You can see I'm really stuck on the new DSP. I've used the Ginger Blossom on the first one and Berry Bliss on the second. The second card is folded a little different. Cut your cardstock the long ways (4.25") and then fold in half as usual, but after that fold the top back to the first fold---makes like a little accordion. We did this as a make and take at Bernie's workshop last week. Want to learn how? Book your own SU workshop and I'll show you.
Blessings, Renee

Guess what this is!

Guess what I covered here. Give up? It is the detergent cup that comes on my jug of laundry soap. Yes, you know me, can't throw anything away. I had washed the cup and it was sitting in my stamp room since before Christmas and believe it or not I had thought about throwing it away when I was cleaning, but instead put it in the pile of "to do" projects. I covered it with the Berry Bliss DS paper. I just love this paper. My words for it are "just yummy." The stamp set is One of a Kind and I used the (110711) Boho Blossoms ($15.95) to punch out the little flowers in the center of the big bloom. The tag is done using the oval punches and I attached it using the Cropadile to punch two holes and then tied my bow. It's so neat to be able to punch a hole through something that thick. Of course it's filled with Reese's Peanut Butter hearts. Those are also "yummy." Enjoy! Renee

Another Embrace Life

It's late tonight, but I had promised another card with the Ginger Blossom paper today and technically it still is today. This paper is so beautiful. I used the new Boho Blossoms Punch to make the flower. This punch is way cool because you actually can punch 3 different flowers all at the same time. This card is showing 2 of the flowers. This was a very quick card to make. We actually made this card today at Bernie's workshop. The ladies really seemed to like it and loved how easy it was. I just wish there was more time in a day to stamp. I love playing with new stamping stuff. I'll post the other make and take tomorrow.

Embrace Life

I received my new catty order yesterday, but didn't get a chance to use anything until today. This is a 4 x 4 card and the colors are Regal Rose, Ruby Red, Groovy Guava. The DSP (Designer Series Paper) is the new Ginger Blossom. The stamp set is Embrace Life (111011) and is available in the Spring/Summer 2008 Catalog. I've used the Groovy Guava double stitched ribbon as well and just hi-lighted a few of the blossoms with the white gel pen. I double punched the scalloped circle punch for the embrace life in the corner. Hope you like it and I'll be posting another sample tomorrow using this same set.

Blessings,
Renee

Hey!

Hey, you all are probably wondering what's happened to me and my blog. Guess I've been in a little "funk" lately. Sorry! I'm going to try and be better. Guess I didn't realize how many like to view my blog. You make me feel good.
I had a couple of nice surprises this morning. I awoke to a phone call by Joni Reimann. Joni is always so cheerful. Guess what she wanted? A new catalog of course and I was happy to oblige. Joni is always a ray of sunshine. Then just as I was attempting to take down my Christmas decorations, I get a call from Kelly Thompson to go have lunch. What a nice surprise. Kelly and I had lunch and of course chatted about the new catalog. Where else, but in Pigeon would you see two stampers with catties in hand having lunch and talking stamping--ok maybe lots of places, but not lots of places in Pigeon. It was great and was a real pick-me-upper. Thanks so much Kelly. You are a sweetie and you made my day. I've only known Kelly a year, but yet I feel like we've known each other forever. That's the fun stuff that comes from a great job/hobby like this--making great friends. Enough of me---onto stamping since Kelly was giving me a hard time about no posts.......*grin*

This card is made with the set called Happy Heart Day. It is available in the New Spring/Summer Collection catalog and also as a January Special called the Valentine's Day Bundle--111903, which includes not only the stamp set, but Real Red (109052) and Regal Rose Ribbon 5/8" grosgrain ribbon and Medium Cellophane Bags as well. It's all available for the special price of $33.40 (retail value of $41.35) This special is good through January 31. Call me to order yours. Be looking for more samples this week with this cute set and a tutorial later on how I made the scalloped edge.
Have a great weekend!
Renee

Time Well Spent

Well since the Time Well Spent set is the newest stamp set in my collection, it's what I want to play with right now. I like how it matches so many of the styles in the new catalog. Speaking of new catalog.........have you had a chance to look through yours yet? Or have you even gotten yours yet? Contact me today to get your copy. Better yet, contact me and book your SU party and you'll get it for free. Are you getting the hints I've been posting? Set the date and get it free? What's not to like about FREE? If you've already purchased yours from me and then you book, you'll get $5.00 off your order. So it's still FREE!
If the first picture looks familiar it's because it' the same card I posted yesterday, but I'm trying my hand at making my pictures a little more professional. Not that the old cover from a pad of paper looks more professional, but it's the best thing I've got for a background right now. LOL I really want to buy the little photo studio I found at Wal-mart, but I'm waiting until I have the money for that so I guess this will have to do for now.
Well I'm off to get my hair cut today and then I may have to stop at HarJo's Ben Franklin since my mom and dad got me a gift certificate from there for Christmas. Watch out Heidi and Gretchen, I'm probably going to drive you crazy trying to decide what to buy with my "fun" money. Will I really be able to make a decision on my first visit? I think half the fun is just knowing you have it to spend. *wink*

Take care and hopefully I'll get to stamp later today and have some new things for you tomorrow.
As Always
Blessings,
Renee
