Happy Halloween!

Wow it's October 31! Can you believe it? I love the fall time, but it can seem like it goes so fast. I haven't posted since the 21st and for that I apologize. I could go into lots of excuses for that, but I know you all have much better things to do because after all you are busy too. Can you tell I feel guilty for letting you all down who check my blog on a regular basis? I still have new people subscribing to my blog and I hate to let others down. Guess my momma raised me right. Ah? Now I sound like I'm from Canada. LOL Anyhoo, please forgive me and we'll call it good. Not that I'm one of those OCD people. *grin*

I wanted to share this great pin I made. They are made with SU punches, versamark ink and clear embossing powder. It's hard to tell in the pic, but they are super shinny and the best part is you don't have to poke a hole in your clothes to put them on. The actually have a magnet on the back of them. No they aren't refrigerator magnets, although they could be if you wanted, but I used a small metal washer to attach them. Neat idea huh? Not mine originally, but I discovered this along time ago from somewhere. And if you have a real "magnetic" personality you won't need the washer to hold it in place. LOL OK, that was bad.

I actually had an order for 20 of them and this is it. Did you know that if you see something on my blog and you'd like to purchase it for yourself that all you have to do is contact me? That's it, contact me and if I still have the supplies or can order them I would be more than happy to make it and sell it. Or if you prefer to make it yourself, let me know and you can place an order from Stampin'Up! through me or my website ( http://www.reneeond.stampinup.net/) and make your own. It's that simple. And of course you get me help along with it.

Now I'm going to do a little stamping today and maybe I'll be back later to share. I really need a stamping day. How about you? Wanna come and play? Give me a call and come on over.
Until later have a great Halloween day!

A Blessed Weekend

Good afternoon. I'm so sorry that my posts have been so few and far between lately. Thanks for sticking with me and I promise I'll get back on that regular posting train soon. I was gone to the Bay Shore Scrapbooking retreat this past weekend. What a wonderful blessing it was. I've been going out to Bay Shore as a Stampin'Up! vendor and teacher for several years now and they keep asking me back and I feel so honored. Right now let me encourage you if you've never been to a Christian scrapbooking retreat that you need to attend this one. It is a great time to get together with other women that share the same passion of paper crafting and also love for the Lord. I come home every time just feeling so blessed (although slightly tired or is the word exhausted? LOL) and so happy that I've gone. This year was no exception. Just a great time to scrap, stamp, eat and fellowship, but I'm warning you now be prepared to laugh. So if you'd like to attend, the next one will be January 23-25, 2009. You can visit their web site http://www.bayshorecamp.org/ for more info. This is the group photo that was taken.

This is actually the only thing that I really accomplished for myself this weekend since I am there in a teaching capacity. I am so tickled with how it turned out. I used the Big Shot pennant die to make this cute little tree. Really very easy to make. Look for more of these soon. I've got some other ideas spinning around in my head. I have to tell you that this idea really came from my Brooke. The minute I showed her the pennant die when I got home from convention this was the idea she had. I know there have been others out there who have done the same thing or very similar with this die, but I like to think she was the first. Way to go my Brooker T! I separated the scallops and put dazzling diamonds glitter in the centers. It's a little hard to see in the pic, but I think it really sets it off. Hope you enjoy it!
Blessings,
Renee

You are not going to believe this..............

We lost our electricity AGAIN yesterday morning. Seems that there were some high winds early yesterday and you guessed it---WE LOST POWER! Oh sorry, I didn't mean to yell. This is almost getting funny, but it's NOT!

I know some of you are waiting for some stamping pics and that is really what I want to share, not all my troubles. As they say, this too shall pass. These are the cards that were made at my World Card Making Day classes. If you didn't attend, I hope you feel bad now. Just kidding, but I do think the cards were pretty good and those that did attend seemed to like them.
Autumn Harvest, Haiku DSP, Whisper White, Certainly Celery, Close to Cocoa, Tango Tangerine, Very Vanilla, Large Scallop Big Shot Die
I cased this card from NJ Stamper over on SCS. I just loved the idea of staggering the Top Note Die. I did change mine up a little, but I always like to give credit where credit is due. Thanks NJ Stamper.
Season of Friendship, Really Rust, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Top Note Big Shot Die

Curley Label, Riding Hood Red Cardstock, DSP and ribbon, Top Note Big Shot Die
Snow Burst, Heard from the Heart, Riding Hood Red, Bashful Blue Cardstock and Ink, Kiwi Kiss Ink, Whisper White Cardstock, Little Felt Flurries and Rhinestone Brads

Scandinavian Season, Bella Rose DSP, Whisper White, Filigree Designer Brads, Pretties Kit, Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze and Pink Pirouette Ink Refills and Aqua Painters, White Satin Ribbon
I hope you enjoyed these cards and if you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Oh, and it is ok to leave a comment or two. I know I get lots of hits here, but not too many comments.
Thanks for stopping by!

I'm still around............barely!

I bet you thought I've fallen off of the stamping world since I haven't posted in so long. I even had a very nice email asking if everything was ok with me and my family. Thank you. Here's a little update. Since I lasted posted I went to my sister Carin's to have a SU party for her. My mom and I then stayed a couple extra days and spent some time with her. After returning the week was pretty busy with just catching up. Then last week we had an electrical incident. The big old barn that sits next to our property was torn down, but the demo guy forgot to cut the electrical lines that led from it to our yard light pole. Needless to say when he hit the line it tore all the electricity from our house. Yes, the whole kit and caboodle as they say. We were without power all day--from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. I've also been helping my little sister Chele move into her new house. Well it's not new, but it is new to her. She's lived in an apartment and just recently found a house to rent with possibly an option to buy. We did some painting, cleaning, moving, you know the routine. Well it was routine until yesterday when I twisted my ankle and fell. The good news is that my ankle is fine, but my wrist is sprained. Ouch! It's not excruciating pain, but it does hurt and is getting on my nerves tonight. Luckily the doctor gave me something for pain. They wrapped it for me and it does feel better if I leave it on. It's amazing how much one depends on two hands. Things you don't even think about. How does one go about putting their bra on with only one hand? It's not very easy especially with "xxxxs" my size. Maybe I should have asked the demo guy to leave the crane. LOL
Probably more info than you all needed to know, but I thought I'd catch you up a little. Oh and did I mention that I taught 2 World Card Making Day classes during this two week time frame? Yes, I did and if you come back tomorrow I will show you the cards we made. I just can't do another thing tonight except go put some ice on my wrist and get some sleep. See you all here tomorrow when hopefully things calm down a little.

Blessings,
Renee
