OSAT Blog Hop Winter Festival

Hey there stampin' friends! Welcome to the OSAT November Blog Hop Winter Festival!!!  I missed last months hop and I was so sad.  I thought I had an event that week and I was preparing for it and even got to the place to set up for the weekend and discovered it was the following weekend.  That tells you a little about my crazy. Only a little though. LOL!  So I left it all packed in my van for a week and was over prepared for that vendor event. LOL!  Anyway I'm glad to be back hopping this moth.

I knew I wanted to use some of my new stuff I haven't had time to play with.  It was all waiting for me.  I decided I wanted to use the Perfectly Plaid suite for my projects.  I just absolutely love the DSP in that suite so that is where I started.  I'll start with my 3D project first because that's where I started in my creating. I opened those beautiful Gold Mini Pizza Boxes and that is where the creativity began.I made a belly band to go around the box and embossed it with the new 3D Winter Knit embossing folder.  I then punched a couple trees from the Wrapped in Plaid DSP with the Pine Tree Punch.  Did you know you get 10% off when you purchase a bundle like the Perfectly Plaid Bundle? I then stamped the middle tree with Shaded Spruce ink and punched out. Popped that tree up with Mini Dimensionals and added some Gold Metallic Pearls.  I wanted to put a star on the top and I hadn't ordered the copper star embellishments so I used a retired star embellishment and colored it with the Cherry Cobbler Dark Blend.  Usually I wouldn't use something retired, but you do have the option of getting the stars in copper and you can color them.  I used the words from the Well Said stamp set.  While not really a Christmas sentiment, it would work great for giving your "always" a gift.

I used the same items on my card except this time I didn't use the punch and I added some of the new Snow Accents Puff Paint, some of the Shaded Spruce/Gold 3/8" Stripped Ribbon and the Gold Foil paper. I also stamped the words in Versamark ink and embossed in Gold Embossing powder.

Have you tired the Snowfall Accents Puff Paint?  It's really cool.  A bit of a learning curve because it's a little thinner that some we carried years ago, but it puffs up great and gives your projects that bit of WOW dimension!

Wouldn't this be a great gift and card combo?  I think jewelry would fit great into it.  I love Origami Owl jewelry and I think their Pearl Bolo bracelet would look perfect in this box.  Hint, hint to my hubby if he happens to read this post.  LOL!

Well thanks for stopping by and please click on the next name below to view some more amazing projects.
Blessings,
Renee

OSAT Blog Hop Welcome to Our Hoilday

Welcome to the OSAT September blog hop!!!  It’s time to say welcome to our Holiday catalog.  Demonstrators have been using products for a month now and it’s time to share with you all. I think this catalog is s stellar on for sure. So many awesome bundles, DSP, tools and so much more.  I chose to pretty much case the card in the catalog because I just loved it. Having a hard time coming up with ideas or feel a little overwhelmed with a set you love, but not sure where to start?  Start with the catalog and that’s what I did here with a few changes.

The dies in this set are “da bomb”!  They not only cut out the leaves, but they emboss at the same time.  You can even use a spritzer and spritz a little water before running through and you get an even deeper impression.  I chose to color in the stamped leaf using our Watercolor pencils and a blender pen.  The large rectangle piece of DSP is popped up with dimensional so this card has lots of texture and dimension.

For my 3D project I chose to make a little ornament or it could be used as a gift tag.
I cut out several leaves and then had the idea to sponge color onto the die and then cut it out. Can you see the ink on the Crushed Curry leaves?  Such a cool thing!  I put the leaves behind one of the elements from the Tags & Feathers elements. After the leaves were attached to the back of it, I cut out a 2” circle using the layering circle dies to give the back a clean look. I tried stamping the words on the element and could not get a clean stamp. I’m not sure if it was due to the humidity or what so I chose instead to stamp on cardstock and cut it out and pop it up with dimensionals.

Well thank you for hopping with me and please click on the next name and continue hopping along for some great projects from the Holiday catalog.
Blessings,
Renee

Fall is Really in the Air

Fall is certainly in the air today and tonight it’s cool, but it’s still nice to sleep with the windows open. I’ve got another Gathered Together car to share with you.  Similar to yesterday’s, but a little different.

This one I used the new Delicata Copper ink pad on the large leaf. This ink has such a shimmer to it. The picture just doesn’t do it justice.   I have a confession here. I used one of the leaf trinkets on this card and it’s only the second time I’ve used one. Yes, I’ve had them since last year and I’ve been hoarding, but I’m hoarding no more. You’ve heard it here!  Lol!

I thought I’d leave you with a picture of my mantel that I decorated this afternoon.

Can you spy the item that I used Stampin’Up! on?  I had fun decorating this mantel. My daddy made me this almost two years ago. It is above our television since we don’t have a fireplace.  I love being able to change it out for the seasons or holidays or whenever I feel like it. I look at the things I put on it and remember and think about the things that have come from my family and friends. The lantern was from my sister Chele and BIL, Rick. The Fall sign is from my girl Lindsay and the turkey from my bff Vicki. Do you see my crow?  Don’t ask my why, but I’ve been wanting a crow like this for a couple of years now and found it at Hobby Lobby when I visited Linds a couple weeks back. I think he looks cute by the sunflowers, don’t you?

Well it’s time for bed. I know most of you won’t read this until tomorrow so I hope you are having a good Monday!
Blessings,
Renee
