April Paper Pumpkin Alternate Projects

Hello my stampin' friends.  I haven't done much stamping in the last few days, but I do have something to share with you today.  I went away on the weekend with my daughter Brooke to celebrate her birthday with an overnight shopping trip.  We had a wonderful time.  The weather was cool, but sunny both days.  I sure wish I could say the same thing about yesterday and today.  It's cold and damp and doesn't look like the next two days will be much better.  I just hate days like this.  It makes my fibromyalgia act up and I really don't feel like doing much of anything, but I did get a couple of things made today.

.I got the idea for this frame from fellow stamper Audra Monk.  I got this white picture frame down from my top shelf in my office and took out the PP project that was in there and added this one made with the April Paper Pumpkin kit.  If you missed this kit, you missed out on a good one.  Paper Pumpkin kits are always a fun surprise.  You can subscribe or cancel at anytime by visiting www.paperpumpkin.com and choosing me as your demonstrator.  You can see the little squares behind the flower that I cute out with the Layering Squares from one of the cards in the kit.  I couldn't throw that card away so I made a card using that along with some leftovers laying on my desk.  See the card below.

Isn't this adorable?  When I cut the squares out I tried my best to get them even with the hopes of doing something with this note card size card.  I used four of the doggy punches that I had on my desk and then I felt it needed a bit of color so I added two little butterflies from the Butterfly Gala stamp set and punch that were also laying around.  The Thinking of You sentiment if from the Paper Pumpkin stamp set.  These projects look nothing like the kits projects.  That's the fun part, you can make them like the kit (which is what I usually do) or you can go off on your own and create using your imagination.

Blessings,
Renee

Home Decor SU Style Blog Hop April 2019

Hi there blog hoppers!  Welcome to my blog and the April 2019 SU Style Blog Hop.  I haven't hopped with this group in awhile and I've missed it.  I wanted to hop this month, but wasn't quite sure what to make until I had a need for something.  I had a really sturdy heavy cardstock type box that my daughter had given me perfume in for my birthday.  It was open on one end and I just knew there would be something I could do with it.  I decided to cover it with the beautiful All My Love DSP and the flowers from the All That You Are stamp set.  I've been wanting something nice to put on our island in our kitchen that would look nice and hold pens that hubby wouldn't walk off with,  so after I decorated this box I put some clear marbles in it for weight and added some fun colored Bic pens in it.  I though that still might not send the message that these pens were to stay in the kitchen so I added some ribbon to the tops.  He's less likely to put that in his pocket. ;)

I stamped the flowers in black Memento ink and colored them in using the Flirty Flamingo Blends.  I love to color and I love the Blends, so it seemed like the perfect combo.  I then cut a few pieces from the Frosted Bouquet dies for some fillers to put in behind the flowers that were popped up on dimensionals.  It's hard for me to not use some sort of embellishments when I am designing, so I took the 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and made a bow to tuck in there as well.

I used Tear & Tape to adhere the DSP to the box and I cut the DSP a 1/2" taller than the box and after I adhered it to the box, I cut slits in the four corners and folded the paper down inside the box to give it a finished look.  I hope you like my project and that it will give you some inspiration for all those things we save thinking we will do something with it some day.  Enjoy the rest of the hop by clicking on the name after mine below.

Blessings,
Renee

I know, you are probably saying, "Renee, what's wrong with you?  Two post in one day?  I know hard to believe, but I wanted to share this great May promo with you now.  This promo will run May 1-31 or while supplies last.  SU has never had a promo quite like this.  It includes everything in a complete suite except for cardstock.  Watch the video and let me know what you think.  The price of this is $80 plus tax and shipping.  If I have enough interested I will hold a class for this and the class fee will be discounted as well depending on the amount of people interested.  It's such a beautiful suite.  I know you will love it.

Retirement List are Here!!!!!

Hi friends!  The retirement lists are out and due to some computer and internet issues yesterday I was not able to get them posted.  Please forgive me, but on a positive note it may have been good because some kind fellow demo edited the Annual Catalog list so you don't have to look at all the sets that say they are in French and find that confusing.  It's also been put in a little bigger format so it's easier to read.  By doing the larger print it makes it more pages, but I find that worth it.  You can set your printer to print both sides and it wont take as much paper.  I hope you find this helpful and if you have any questions please contact me.  Remember these are while supplies last for most things other than stamps so don't delay in ordering, especially if you want something in the retiring colors

Here's hoping these links work.   Technology is great, except for when it doesn't work.
I will try and post here more often.  If you have Facebook, I post there as well so feel to follow me there at www.facebook.com/stampinwithrenee

OSAT Blog Hop Spring Fling

Welcome to the OSAT Spring Fling Blog Hop!!!  I've had quite the week so I'm going to make this short and sweet.  I used the adorable set Fable Friends, which has become my new fav set and I used spring colors.  I apologize for using some retired trim and ribbon, but chances are you have it hoarded too.  LOL!  Oh and the little gift cup is made from a round kleenex box cut in half.  I have a mason jar kleenex container and I buy the kleenex that come in a round box, inside of the quart size mason jar that has been painted.

This set it too cute and can be used for all kinds of occasions and speaking of that you will find it in the Occasions catalog right now until June 1.  I used our amazing Blends to color it in.

Sorry for the short explanation on this one, but I have been busy with taking orders after the new Stampin'Up! announcements from this week.  It's late Wednesday night as I type this and it will post at 6:30 am on Thursday so here it is.  If you have any questions, please feel free to leave comments or contact me and I will help you out.

Blessings,
Renee
