"OSAT Blog Hop – Birthday Bash”

Welcome blog hoppers!  It's that time again.  Time for the OSAT blog hop and what could be a better theme than birthdays?  Yeah, my birthday is this month.  I like to affectionately call this the month of me. 😀  I think that everyone's birthday month should be all about them,  So I was happy for this month's hop.  My 3D project this month is actually something I've been wanting to make in like forever and I'm super happy with how it turned out.  I hope you like it.

I purchased the Succulent Bundle and I'm now just getting around to using it. Winter is not my friend and I haven't been feeling the best.  Won't go into all that, but I'm glad I was able to finally play with this bundle.  It has so many possibilities.  It has a lot of Clear Wink of Stella on it.  Have you tried Wink of Stella?  It is one of the best things ever.  Gives you glitter without the mess. It is hard to photograph and I apologize for that.  These look more like flowers, but you will see in my 3D project that they can be succulents as well.

Now onto my 3D piece.  I bought some frames that my dad had made that he put in our garage sale a couple of years ago.  Yes, I did say bought.  That's for you dad in case you are reading this.  He likes to tease us about how we come "shopping" at their house, but I really did pay him for them when we divided up the cash.  There we got that taken care of. 😆  Well they sat in the basement for a year after that, then the following year I painted them, but still didn't get anything made with them and then this past Fall, Frank put the chicken wire on them for me and TADA!!!!

I am so happy with how it turned out.  I knew what I wanted to do, but it took me awhile from the conception in my head.  I'm sure I'm the only one that this happens to.  😉

Yes there is Clear Wink of Stella on these.  I so wish it photography better.  I sponged the succulents with Sweet Sugar Plum and that didn't seem to be enough so I added some Old Olive.  I hot glued them to the frame that I had sanded a bit to make it a little distressed. Oh and then I glued some Spanish moss around them to finish it off.

Here is a close up of the banner pieces.  I used the 1-1/2" space on the banner punch for the Emerald Envy back layer and then I ran it through the Hexagon Dynamic Textured Embossing folder.  The top layer was stamped using the Beautiful Banner stamp set (I got this specifically in mind for this project) and then the letters were stamped with the Layered Letters set.  They were stamped with Mint Macaron and Emerald Envy.  I will have the list of all products used on the bottom of this post if you are interested.

Well I hope you've enjoyed my projects and will continue on around the hop to see what everyone else has come up with.  Oh and by the way.............Happy Birthday to me!!!!  Yes, I do think my birthday should be a national holiday.  My mom always made our (me and my two sisters) birthdays so special that I've always liked my birthday.  While I know some don't like to celebrate their birthdays it sure beats the alternative. 😉

Blessings,
Renee

Renee, Just WOW! Stunning! The card alone is gorgeous with the flowers but then you REALLY knocked it out of the ball park with the frame featuring the banner and succulent arrangement. You totally ROCKED the Birthday Bash.
