Welcome to the OSAT April blog hop.  Our theme this month is Flower Power.  I decided to use my favorite set Oh So Succulent.  This set is unfortunately on the Stampin'Up! retirement list.  I'm so sad.  I love this stamp set and the matching framelits.  This will for sure stay in my private collection even though I can't demo it past May.  If you haven't gotten this set be sure to do so before they are gone for good.

Now onto my projects. I chose to use various images from the stamp set to make my own background paper for my card. This is always a fun technique.  You can take a full sheet of cardstock and stamp till your heart's content or until you think it looks just right.  Yeah, sometimes you can go a little overboard if you don't stop yourself.  LOL!  I like to pick it up after I've stamped a few images just to see what it looks like.  I chose our current in colors for this project.  I have them listed on the bottom of this post.  I went for a very simple design and layout.  Sometimes I see such awesome works of art when it comes to cards, but realistically I think when people need to mass produce cards or only have a limited time to stamp they want some quick, simple, cute ideas and I think this card fits the bill.

For my 3D project I actually started out with some flowers that I had previously die cut awhile ago.  I started layering them and before I glued them down I took my Wink of Stella pen and went to town on them.  If you haven't guessed by now I'm a shiny girl.  I like sparkles.  After that I started to glue them down.  Once they were glued down I realized it needed something in the middle so I pulled out the Falling in Love embellishments and added one to the middle.  Then it was like ok, I have a flower, whatever shall I do with it and then I spied a package of 4" gold paperclips I had picked up with the intention of making something with them. I hot glued the flower to the paperclip and on the back to cover up the glue I used a 1-3/4" circle.  I then glue on the loops of the 1/4" very vanilla satin ribbon and added another circle to finish it off.  I didn't photograph the back so if you'd like to see that please let me know and I can post a pic of the back.  This will make a great bookmark or you can use it as a regular paper clip to keep organized in a pretty way.

I seem to always have a hard time photographing the Wink of Stella, but I think this time it turned out pretty good.
Well thanks folks for hopping along with the OSAT blog hoppers.  I hope you've enjoyed the hop.  You can click on the next button to go to
