"OSAT Blog Hop – No Rules New Year”

Welcome to the OSAT January ----No Rules New Year Blog Hop!  We took December off and I have to tell you I actually missed it.  Don't get me wrong it was nice not having one thing more added to my plate for December, but I am happy to be back hopping and some routine.  Hopefully this will get me back to blogging again on a regular basis.  I truly need routine to keep me on track.  So you may have reached here from the wonderful  Maria Willis' blog.  She always has such nice projects, doesn't she?  If you arrived by other means and want to take the full hop you can always look at the bottom of this post and I will have the links to everyone on the hop.

When I saw this set in the new Occasions catalog I knew that I had to have it.  As most of my regular followers know I've been a cake/cookie baker decorator for well.........a lot of years.  Yeah I may have started when I was 13 with my first decorated cake and as they say the rest is history.  This set is too cute and a great little "pun" set to boot.

My colors used are one of my favorite color combos.  Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party  with just a bit of Basic Black to make it pop.  This set doesn't have framelits so anything you see cut out was fussy cut, but really, it wasn't that hard.  I stamped, cut and popped up the mixer with dimesionals and also stamped it on the Whisper White piece as well.  This allows me to not have to cut the beaters out. Notice the new Stitched Framelit piece it's stamped on?  These will be available again next week.  Yay!  I stamped the background using the bowl stamp in this set to make my own DSP.  I stamped it in Pool Party because I feel it is a great coordinating color with Bermuda Bay.

Then it was onto my 3D project.  I chose to make a tag and put it on a cello bag of peanut butter/chocolate chip cookies.  Yes, I made them special for this photo and I may or may not have made a few extra cookies to sample. 😋

I wanted the stamped layer to pop a little so I added one of our new Lace Doilies.  These are so neat because they are Whisper White on one side and Very Vanilla on the other.  Cool huh?    I colored all the stamped pieces in using our NEW WATERCOLOR PENCILS and a blender pen.  Coloring in with them is so easy and you don't have to be artistic at all to use them.  To tie the bag off I used some of the new silver/gold ribbon that is available as a SAB free item.  Along with the gold ribbon I used some 1/8" stitched Bermuda Bay ribbon and a piece of gold sequin trim.  I just love me some glitz and shine.  Surprisingly enough I didn't use any Wink of Stella on these projects.  GASP!  I know, what happened to me?  I can always go back and add it if I do decide to give these cookies away. LOL! 😜

Well that's all from me.  I hope you've enjoyed my projects and you will continue onto the amazing Kim Smith's blog.   Thanks so much for stopping by!

Reindeer Candle

Hi there!  I've got a cute reindeer candle project for you today.  It was super simple to put together.

I purchased the candle at the Dollar General and covered it with some of the This Christmas Specialty DSP from the main SU! catalog.  The little reindeer was made using Foxy Friends stamp set and matching punch.  I tied a little Cherry Cobbler ribbon on the top.

Hope you enjoyed this quick cute project.  I haven't posted my days of Thanksgiving on here since I got a little behind.  If you would like to view them you are friends with me on Facebook, you can see them there.  Seems like time just runs short these days and I know you are interested in stamping projects.

Blessings,
Renee

"OSAT Blog Hop - Let It Snow”

It's that amazing time of the month....the OSAT Blog hop!!!  Super excited to see all the goodness from this hop.  I went a little different than some might think, but I still think it fits the theme.  After all it's snowmen.  We have to "Let it Snow" to get snowmen, right?

Here is my card.  I used some things that haven't really gotten much use so it was fun to get them out and create even if it was a here and there time frame this month for me.

I used the beautiful Embellished Ornaments as the focal part of my card using the ornament framelit.  There are other stamp set for the little snowman if from Snow Place.  I covered the snowman and the sentiment in Clear Wink of Stella.   I really wished that Wink of Stella showed up better in pictures.  The little snowman is cut out with the matching framelits and popped up with dimensionals.  I also added Wink of Stella to the pine branches.

Here is my 3D project.  It's a fun little jar candle  I purchased at the Dollar General.  I covered it with the Candy Cane Lane DSP.  I then decorated it with the same snowman and tired on some of the beautiful 3/8" Glitter Ribbon Combo Pack.  I think this would make a nice inexpensive gift.

Well I hope you've enjoyed my projects and will follow onto the ever so talented Tina Riddle.  I'm sure she has some gorgeous projects lined up.

Blessings,
Renee

Day 9 of Thankfulness

Day 9 of Thanksgiving......I am thankful for my girls. They bring me joy and happiness every day. I am so proud of the amazing girls they are and I'm thankful for those of you who tell me what amazing girls I have. I give all the glory for who they are to God. I am a very blessed mommy. Thanks girls for being the loves of my life and being the great young women you are. I love you forever and always, bushels and pecks and more than you can know.
Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. Psalms 127:3

Most amazing girls ever!!!  I love this pic of them.  It was taken on the day of my sister's wedding just before they got dressed to be in the wedding.  Warms my heart. Love those smiles.

Now for today's project.  It's a cute little Christmas gingerbread house.

It's almost as cute at my girls....almost *wink*  Thanks for stopping by and remember that the OSAT blog hop is tomorrow.  I promise I'll get back to more projects.  My seasonal job is coming to a close tonight....ahhhhh and then I can breathe a little and share more with you.  Thanks to those for sticking with me.  It truly means a lot.

Blessings,
Renee

Day 8 of Thankfulness

Well I'm getting unfollowed here on my blog and I'm assuming it's because I've included conversation other than stamping.  I debated over sharing my days of thankfulness on my blog, but hey it's my blog and I'm not changing just because someone might feel uncomfortable about it.  That's not my point in the first place  My point was to just be thankful and I think no matter your "religious" beliefs we should all agree to be thankful.   I don't know, maybe I just think differently than others.  Either way I'm still going to share and I hope you will continue to follow.

This was my thankfulness Facebook post from yesterday.

Day 8 of Thankfulness.....I am so thankful for the gift of love. Thirty years ago today I married the love of my life. We've had ups and downs over the years, but if I was given the opportunity to do it all over again I would in a heartbeat. I am so very blessed by this man that the Lord gave me and have never doubted once he was the one. I am so grateful for him every day and forever and always.
So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13

Here is the card my hubby made me last night while I was working.  What can I say?  He's a farm equipment technician, not a card maker, but I love him to pieces and this card means a lot.

Blessings,
Renee

Day 7 of Thankfulness

For some reason last night I wasn't able to post.  My screen kept locking up on me and so I finally just gave up and went to bed, so here is my Day 7 of Thankfulness.

Day 7 of Thankfulness....I'm thankful for prayer. I'm thankful I can take my cares, worries and concerns to the one who holds tomorrow. I can pray not only for myself, but I can take and lift others up in prayer and know my prayers are heard.
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life. And this is the confidence we have in Him that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him. 1 John 4:13-15
