Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today we will be celebrating my daddy's 74th birthday.  My daddy is absolutely the best man you could find.  He is such a man of God who has a kind, caring and helpful heart.  He loves God, his family and friends with all that he has.  I am so blessed that God chose this man to be my daddy.  I wanted to make him a special card and I watched a video by Stampladee when she used this shadow technique and I knew I wanted to try it.  Thanks to my upline Amy for pointing it out to me.  I hope he likes this card.

The ship is from the Traveler set, which I'm so glad I purchased thanks to fellow demo Justin Krieger.  The background and anchor are from The Open Sea set and the words are from a retired set Well Scripted.  I stamped the ship in Smoky Slate on Whisper White cardstock and then stamped it again in Stazon Black on a piece of window sheet.  I attached it with dimensionals for added height  and dimension between the two pieces.  I slightly put the window sheet a little to the right so you can seed the Smoky Slate stamped piece behind.  It really is a fun technique.

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you are having a good day.
Blessings,
Renee

Very nice - interesting technique and yet so simple.
