Hey!

Hey ya'll! How is everyone? Today is Wednesday, April 9 and also my Brooke's 17th Birthday. How can my baby be so old already? Seems like yesterday, but alas she's growing up. She was born bright and early in the morning and she still is good about getting up bright and early (when she has to), but don't ask her to on a day off. *grin* Happy Bird-day my baby girl! We are so proud of the fine young lady you've become.

Embracing Life

Ok, I know it's been over a week since I posted last and I'm sure there are some of you that have been missing my posts. As the title of this says I've been trying to Embrace Life a little. I've been taking it easy or at least trying to. After a very busy February and most of March too I decided I just needed to take care of me a little. I've got a few cards to show you today though and I hope you like them. Right now I can't decide which is my favorite set---Embrace Life (Spring/Summer Collection Catalog) or Live Your Dream (Occasions Mini Catalog). I do know though that I love using the Afternoon Tea DSP (Occasions Mini) with either set. The colors and style just seem so peaceful.
Enjoy!

Happy Easter Monday!

Not sure when this started, but according to my calender in my office this is actually a Canadian holiday. Ok, I needed a title for my post. Anyway, here is a paper mache box I covered using the new beautiful Afternoon Tea DSP from SU! This box was very easy to do and I am so happy with the way it turned out. The ribbon is the new Chocolate Chip Poly-Twill Ribbon. Both of these are featured in the Occasions Mini Catalog. The stamp set I used is Live Your Dream. I used sticky strip and monomulti to attach the paper. Colors are: Soft Sky, Groovy Guava, Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip.
Have a great day!

Memories

Good Morning! Sorry about no post yesterday. I was celebrating Renee Eve. LOL Actually my family gives me a hard time because I love to celebrate my birthday--yes, presents and all. I think I love birthdays and like making a big deal about birthdays (yes, even other peoples) because my mom always made our birthdays a special day for us. When we were little we always had a big birthday party with all and yes I mean ALL the girls in my class. Sometimes that could mean at least 15 girls. Looking back and knowing what it means to be a mom myself I realize the sacrifice my mom made in those days to do that. Supper, cake, games, prizes for everyone, taking them all home afterwards. It was a lot of work, but of course I didn't think so at the time. It was just what my mom did and to be honest with you not a lot of mom's did that in those days. So mom if you do by chance remember to read my blog I want you to know I appreciate all you've done for me in my life. You've been a good mom, so happy "birth" day to you. It really should be your special day too. I love you mom.

A Bad, but Pretty Kittie

I went and got my haircut this morning and when I returned this is what I came home to. Not a good thing that the cat is on the table, but it sure makes a great picture, don't you think? I don't have to worry about the cat eating the candy because she is so finicky it wouldn't even interest her. People food is not her thing. Now if Tippy had been on the table....well lets just say the candy would have been history and everything would have been broken. I really think it was the sunshine she was after. You can see it shining in so nice. I know a rare thing here in Michigan.

Stamp Class Make & Takes

On Monday I had free Make & Take classes in celebration of my birthday. I always like to give a little something during my birthday month and decided this year I would give a free class. I had a total of 10 attend my two classes and a great time was had by all. The above pic is from my 3:00 p.m. class (or should I say the rowdy group?) I forgot to take a pic of the evening class, sorry!
These are the two items that they made. The card was so simple, but everyone thought it so elegant. I had featured the little treat box earlier this month.
Thanks for stopping by,
Renee

Hey Chickie!

I'm not even going to apologize today for another chick. This little box is filled with jelly beans, but you really could put almost anything in it (as long as it fits-*wink*) I'll try and post directions this weekend. I had my party last night, got my cake baked and decorated (it's done Deb, you can pick it up anytime) and I still have my party tonight. And did I mention those taxes again? Ugh! I just hate doing them. Too overwhelming, but they will be finished this weekend. I promise you and myself. Until after taxes...........................Renee
