Make & Takes or Dessert Anyone?

Here's a make and take I did at a party a couple of weeks ago. I thought it turned out great and I was happy with it and so were the ladies who got to make it.
Well then I had an order arrive in which I had purchased the Exclusive Stampin'Up Lattice Big Shot Die and this is what I did to the card. I think it really stepped it up a notch. What do you think?

This die is going to be a must have for any die cut lover. I think the possibilities are endless.
The item number is 115958 and it sells for $21.95. I used the Rich Razzleberry cardstock, ink and ribbon along with a touch of black and the Scallop Eyelet punch and the Modern Label Punch.
Now to a little dessert. As I told you yesterday my friend and upline Amy brought us a dish of cabbage rolls (Frank's fav) and left them in the garage refrigerator. Well when we went to get them to bake for supper, imagine our surprise when we found this yummy dessert. It is so gooooooood!!! Brownies, Heath bits, Cool Whip, pudding is my guess, but whatever is in it is to die for and most of us almost did that eating it last night. So, so good, but oh so sweet and oh so hard to stop eating.

Thanks Amy for the great meal. It was nice to not have to plan what to make for supper and gave us a little break in the kitchen. Frank is doing well after his surgery and for that we are grateful. The house is moving along sloooooowly, but we keep trudging along and waiting for the day when we can all be back home together. If only contractors and insurance adjusters would move a little quicker. Thanks again for your continued support and for stopping by.
Blessings & Hugs!

What a lovely card

Isn't this just the greatest card? Frank received this card this morning from my sweet upline Amy along with a dish of cabbage rolls. Yum! I love everything about this card. The layout, the stamp set, the hodgepodge. And to be hodgepodge worthy! Now that says something in itself. Amy and I have a little joke about when we make cards and if the person is hodgepodge worthy. As in if the recipient will appreciate that hodgepodge was used or will they toss it aside and say, oh that was nice. You get it, don't you? Now for them cabbage rolls................................

Frank Update

Just wanted to post a quick update. Frank's surgery went well yesterday. The thyroid goiter was removed, but it was rather large. Doc said larger than his fist, but it was soft, which was a good thing. We should have the path report on Wednesday to know for sure. He's doing well and in fact eating some hot dogs and chips as I type. I'm exhausted, but relieved to have it over. The Lord has been good and I give Him the praise. Hopefully life can get back to a little normal (whatever that is as of late) and I'll get some stamping posted. Thanks for the prayers and for sticking with me on this blog through this difficult time in our lives.

Hugs!

Another Hostess Gift

My sister Carin and her friend Ruth had a party together last Saturday and since she's my sister and all I had to do a little extra and make her an awesome hostess gift and well I didn't want her and Ruth to fight over who go the better gift so I made them both one. I had gotten this idea from a fellow demo HERE and I believe she had gotten it from someone else. Isn't it great that SU demos are so willing to share? I used the retired DSP Sweet Slumber (I just loved that paper) and the little canvas came from Michael's. No they don't have any more because I bought them all. JK LOL
Well I'm off with my daddy to do some measuring at the house and then more book work this afternoon.

It's been awhile

I know it's been awhile again since I've posted and I apologize for that. The fire ordeal (as I like to refer to it) is still taking a lot of my time. If you'd like to see photos of the latest, I've uploaded some to Facebook I have been busy with some stamping as well and actually did two parties last week. This was one of the hostess gifts. I had this little bottle from some tea mix from Schwan and when I spied the color of the lid I knew it would be the perfect match for our new Rich Razzleberry In Color. I filled it with Spree candies, well minus a few after Lindsay got a hold of them. LOL The stamp set used was the Ronald McDonald House set for this year (115338) Very Thankful and it sells for $14.95 and for every one sold Stampin'Up! donates $2 to the Ronald McDonald house charities.
I'll try and post some more tomorrow. Frank will be having surgery on his thyroid Friday down in Detroit so it will be a busy week. As always thanks for stopping by.
Blessings,
Renee

A Good Weekend

Did you have a good weekend? Mine was good. Tiring, but good. My sister and her DH were here for the weekend, I got to visit with a very dear friend of mine for awhile on Saturday afternoon and I attended a Pampered Chef party with some yummy food. Oh and I almost forgot, after church today we purchased some new living room furniture. Now I really can't wait to get back into our house.

Now this evening I was checking my mail and a blog that I subscribe to, Stamps, Paper, Glitter, announced she's giving away some blog candy and it's even more special because it's all SU blog candy. So go visit and leave a comment and you'll be entered.

I've got a busy week ahead of me, but hopefully I'll have some stamping to share.

Have a blessed week,
Renee

A Pun and a Deal

Good Tuesday morning. Yes it is morning even considering the fact that I slept til after 9:00 am this morning. That's usually not like me. Guess I must have needed it. For those who are interested, the viewing of our stuff went well. Only a few things they couldn't clean and nothing sentimental so that means we just get new. Which is fine.

Now onto the stamping. I made this card over the weekend. Very simple, but cute I think. Again I used a pre-stamped piece from my friend Mary from Primitive Seasons. And just a plug here if you visit Mary's blog she's giving away some blog candy so you might want to visit and leave a comment. I'll be giving away some blog candy soon as well when I reach 50,000 hits so you might want to visit here more often as well to help me reach it sooner. *wink*

I used the Raspberry Lemonade DSP, Dusty Durango polka dot ribbon and some punches (thanks Mom for letting me use yours. Oh that's right you didn't even know I was) It's great to have a mom who likes to have all the cool SU punches too, especially when you are currently living with her. *grin* And speaking of punches I got mine back yesterday, well the large ones anyway. I made them open a crate and dig the box out. Not sure they were too happy and the head guy I think thought I was crazy, but oh well. In this case I'm the boss! LOL

Now to the CURRENT DEAL OF THE WEEK

Item # Description Special Price
113474 Doctor's Bag $49.99
(Regular price $69.95) that's almost a $20 savings. What a deal!!

This bag is really the coolest and can be used for lots of things other than the Big Shot. Think maybe your Cuttlebug if you have one of those, other crafting supplies you like to take or store, even as an overnight bag. Since I already have one for transporting my Big Shot I'm thinking I could really use one for an overnight bag. Something that I really am in need of. And besides it's really too cute! Hmmmmmm I'm still thinking and just may have to get one before the special is over. How about you? Give me a call to order yours or you can order directly from my SU website by clicking on the SHOP NOW button. I look forward to hearing from you.

Have a great day!

Grateful for You

Hi my blog readers! This card is special for you today. I am grateful for my blog readers and especially so through this difficult time in my life. See post here to see what I'm talking about Just seeing that someone has commented on my post can make the day better. I used some of the new In Colors. Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry and Bermuda Bay. The DSP is Raspberry Lemonade. The stamp set I used is Puns from the Past which is a set I don't own, but Mary from Primitive Seasons was so kind and sent me a few pre-stamped sheets and this is one of them. Thanks Mary for your thoughtfulness. I probably would have used the mat pack and paper piercer on this instead of the white gel pen, but alas I don't know where that may have ended up. Maybe I'll find out tomorrow when we go to Fenton, MI to look at our stuff and see what was able to be cleaned or is a total loss. I used a Pretties Kit flower and colored it with the Crushed Curry marker and then went over it with an aqua painter. These flowers are fun to color.
Hope you're having an enjoyable Sunday!

Autumn Days

No I'm not already thinking about Autumn, but this is the name of the stamp set that I used to make these two cards. I had a couple of male graduation cards to make and since my stamps are limited right now and I just recently got this new set from the new catalog (demos got to pre-order) I thought why not make graduation cards with it. It was hard for me not to use ribbon, but men don't really appreciate ribbon so why waste it. LOL This set sells for $23.95 and is a set of 6. Contact me if you'd like to order this set or you can order through my Stampin'Up! website by clicking on the SHOP NOW button HERE

Here's wishing you all a safe and happy 4th.
Blessings,
Renee
