Create for Christmas Part 2

Here is another project we made in my class.  This is on a little 4" x 5" white canvas.  Such a fun project to make and a fun gift to give, although I'm not sure any of them will give it away. LOL!

Here are the details of what I used.  We used hot glue to put it together just because it went faster.

OSAT December Blog Hop - Thank You!

Happy Holidays!  You have just arrived from the super talented Justin Krieger's blog.  Justin always has amazing projects and he's a nice guy to boot.  I'm sure this season finds most of you very busy.  Well the hoppers from the One Stamp at a Time blog hop have been busy too.  We have some great projects to share with all of you this month.  Since last month our theme was Christmas, what a better theme this month than to have it be Thank You!  When my friend Andrea told me the theme I knew immediately what I wanted to do for my card.  It's a style that I used on several thank you cards I made a week or so ago.  I will share those with you later this week, but for now let's get hopping.  Here is my fun and easy card.
I ran a 4-1/4" x 11" piece of cardstock through the Big Shot using the awesome Softly Falling Embossing Folder.  Then I used the Merry Moments DSP pack and cut a 2-1/2" strip.  This paper has come in handy for so many projects for me.  I covered the top part of the DSP with some of last years Cherry Cobbler linen ribbon.  Yes, I bought extra of that ribbon.  I believe it may even still be on the Clearance Rack.  The Thankful comes from the Holiday Catlalog hostess set Six Sayings.  This is a easy card that could be duplicated very quickly.

Here is my 3D project and I used the Bakers Box Thinlits dies.  Again I used the same DSP.  What a great way to say thanks to someone for maybe something they've done for you, a gift they've given you or for just being themselves.  This is a thank you and gift in one.

I'm certainly glad you decided to hop with me this month.  Please visit Dena Rekow's blog to see some more great ways to say thanks.  If you get lost on the hop you can always come back here and the list below will take you completely around the hop.

Create for Christmas Class Part 1

I'm going to share with you over the next few days the projects from my Create for Christmas class.  The class was last night and the ladies had a great time.  Here is the first one.  It's a frame that can be hung on the wall or put on a plate stand for decoration.  Something like this would make a great hostess gift as well.

When I found the black and gold frames I thought they would be perfect with the Winter Wonderland Specialty DSP.  I then started to wonder what I would use for a saying and then it hit me the Six Sayings Hostess set had the words about snowflakes, the paper has snowflakes and I had the new set Flurry of Wishes and then it all came together.  The snowflakes as well as the words are embossed with Gold Embossing Power.  If you look real close you'll see that I added some of the Gold Sequins from the Gold Sequins Trim and I also added some of the Gold Metallic Thread behind the words. The Metal Rimmed Pearls are added tot he glass on the outside of the picture.  These framed projects have become a tradition for my Create for Christmas classes.

Be sure to stop back tomorrow for the OSAT Blog Hop.  We all have some awesome projects to share with you.  Thanks for stopping by.

Blessings,
Renee

Tis the Season

Hey there stamping friends.  I'm embarrassed to see how long it's been since I've posted.  There is just never enough hours in the day.  I love this time of year, but I am so dang busy with so many things.  We got my aunt through her surgery and she is doing well.  When we checked out after her surgery follow-up appointment the secretary says he would like to see her in 4-6 weeks.  How about December 23rd? Umm... that would be a no.  You see where we live that is a 1-1/2 hr drive there, the appointment and then a meal out and 1-1/2 hr drive home.  On December 23rd in the main city where everyone shops.  Umm....that would be a no again. It was bad enough that I took her for her follow-up the day before Thanksgiving.  Her appointment isn't now until January.  That's good!

We had an awesome Thanksgiving and enjoyed lots of time with family.  Our oldest was home for 4 days and I was so happy.  Miss her like crazy.  I shopped with my sister who lives 3 hrs away on Friday and then on Saturday my girls, my sisters and I crafted while my mom watched.  It was a fun time.   Wanna see what we made?

These sure were fun to make.  These are the ones me and my two girls made.

My sister Chele did three and then went home and finished the tags.  Great job Chele

And of course Brooke, my glamour girl had to do some glitz with hers.

This was my sister Carin's finished bottle.

It was a great time.  And just in case you are interested we didn't drink all the wine.  Where I do my seasonal job at the hunting lodge, they drink a lot of wine so of course you know me, can't throw stuff like that out.  I've got lots of bottles saved.  Hence the reason if you follow me on Pinterest you will see I have a rather large board for wine bottles.  LOL!

I'll leave you now with a project that I made some time ago and hadn't shared.  I've been cleaning and going through piles all over the house and that includes my photos on my computer and SD cards.

This little set is 3" x 3" cards with envelopes and they come in this cute little box.  As a side note I do have this for sale and it is $10.  It includes 8 cards with envelopes.  Inside of cards is blank for your own message.  If you are interested in purchasing this please feel free to contact me.  This would make a nice gift or something to have on hand when you need a card.  I will be starting a page soon where I will have other things for sale.

One last thing to share with you.  Last year during the month of December I did a photo a day and shared photos I'd been taking.  Well I enjoyed that so much last year that I decided I wanted to do it again.  Here are the first two days.  Enjoy!

Day 1

Day 2

I know this was a long post, but I guess I felt like I owed you a good one since I haven't posted in so long.  ;)  Have a wonderful evening.

Blessings,
Renee
