OSAT Blog Hop Fresh Finds

Welcome to the first OSAT blog hop for 2023!!!  Can you believe it's 2023? I thought that year would be a long time off since I turn 60 this year.  It just blows my mind!!!  I don't feel like I'm that old, well except or when I stand up some days.   LOL!  Anyway welcome to the hop and I hope you enjoy yourself.  Aa always the list of  the monthly hoppers and all the products used will be at the end of this post.  If you get lost at anytime you can always come back here to find out where you are at in the hop.  So let's get started!

When I saw the Love Cats stamp set, I knew I had to have this set.  I have a black Maine Coon cat named Sabby and he is just an adorable cat.  So gentle and kind and the sweetest cat I've ever had.  I started my project with the stamp set and the sweet Country Floral Lane DSP and went from there.  I then used the new Something Fancy dies to cut the kitty cat out.  The floral later is popped up on dimensionals so when I adhered the die cut piece I only put dimensionals on the right hand side of the die cut.  The black gingham ribbon (LOVE IT!) and the Iridescent Pastel Gems brings the whole thing together.  Oh and for a touch of texture I used the Painted Textures 3D die. And yes Sabby has been known to get into this similar position at times, minus the heart of course. LOL!

For my 3D project this month I pulled out a small notebook from my Dollar Tree notebook stash and kept with the same stamp set and theme.  Who doesn't love a new notebook at the beginning of a new year?!?! I just love this sheet of DSP so I covered my notebook with it and then made a book binding piece of sorts using the absolutely gorgeous Fine Shimmer 12 x 12 from the new mini catalog as well.  This paper is soooooo pretty!!!!  You'll need this paper for sure.  It comes in a pack of 6 single sided sheets with two each of Soft Succulent, Fresh Freesia and Gold.  I used the Soft Succulent to pull out the Soft Succulent in the DSP.  If you'll notice closely there is a little kitty peeping from the top of this notebook. Yes, I had to make a little bookmark to match,

I sandwiched the bookmark between a piece of the DSP and a piece of Mint Macaron cardstock after using an exacto knife to cut around his tail and legs.  The next pictures will give you more of an idea how that looks.

Well I would like to thank you for stopping by and I sure hope you enjoyed my projects as much as I did making them.
Blessings,
Renee
