Blendabilities---It's What's New in Coloring

Check out this video on a new product that will be available for purchase on July 1.  I can tell you from using them just a little that these markers are not your ordinary everyday marker.  They can actually help you look like an artist.  They are an alcohol marker and our price point on these are awesome.  Three markers  for $11.95.  So watch the video and let me know if you have questions.  I would love to hear from you.

Summer Time Projects

I've been having fun getting things prepared for my new catalog open house this next week, but I had to take some time for My Paper Pumpkin June kit.  This kit has to be the best one yet.  I love red, white and blue so I'm sure that has something to do with it, but this kit is just packed with awesomeness.  This is the kit here:

I created this wreath with it.  I used the pinwheels from the kit and attached them to a Styrofoam wreath.  It still needed something else so I took basket filler shreds and straight pinned pieces of the shred onto the wreath.  There was no rhyme nor reason as to how many I did or the color.  I just pushed a pin into approximate center of the piece of shred.  I didn't really count how many on each pin.  I did them very random like and then pushed the pins into the wreath and keep doing it until I was satisfied with the look.  I know you are thinking it took a long time, but actually it only took about an episode and a half of The Young & the Restless I had DVRd.  LOL!!!  I find stuff like that very relaxing.

I apologize for the lighting not being very good.  I was so excited to take a pic and post on my Facebook page last night and night time pics don't always turn out the best, especially with my IPhone.

Then this morning I had to make the other project I had floating around in my head.  I went to our local HarJo's Ben Franklin and got a little plastic sand pail and I had some floral foam on hand and went to work.

I used my Star Framelits from the new catalog and added some layered stars to it using cardstock (not included in kit) and then added some rhinestones for some bling.  I hot glued SU's  Burlap Ribbon to the pail and then made a fake bow for the front.  I thought the Burlap Ribbon gave it that "sandy" feel.  In the end I decided to tie the little shovel on the pail using some retired stitched red grosgrain ribbon.  I think both of these projects turned out adorable.  See what you are missing out on by not subscribing to My Paper Pumpkin?  Each month is a different kit and you don't know what you are getting.  For me the surprise element is the fun thing with getting these kits and you know what?  If you really aren't happy with a kit (not sure why you wouldn't be because they are awesome) you can contact Stampin'Up! and they will be glad to work with you.  You can subscribe to MPP and cancel at any time.  You can put your subscription on hold for a month or two, but you need to go into your account and do it by the 10th of each month and you can start backup when you want.  You can actually now subscribe for mulit months by buying a  pre-paid subscription plan as well.

Item                           My Paper Pumpkin Paid Subscription          Price

Right now I'm in a challenge to sign up three pre-paid My Paper Pumpkin subscriptions of 3, 6 or 12 months by June 30.  I would really like to meet this challenge and would love to have you sign up, but most importantly I would love for you to have the fun I have every month when MPP box arrives.  Oh and one more thing, you will get a clear stamping block with your first kit so you will have it to use with every kit.  All kits are complete except for scissors and adhesive, although special adhesives like glue dots are included.  OK, I said one more thing.  I really meant 2.  ;)  The price includes shipping.  How cool is that?  So what are you waiting for?  You have nothing to lose and some great projects to make or some cool kits to give as gifts.  For more information please contact me.  I promise you will love My Paper Pumpkin!

A Little Smile

Hey there!  Just a quick post.  I've been keeping busy getting ready for my new catalog open house that is scheduled for Tuesday, June 24 at 6:00 pm.  Always so much to do and prepare for and I'm trying to be ahead of the game, but we will have to see.  Time is slowly running out.

Anyway, here is a quick card for you today.

This is the cute stamp called A Little Smile.  It's a single stamp and only comes in wood mount.  I used a fun technique on this card.  Don't like to spend a lot of time coloring in?  Then this is for you.  We will be using this technique at my open house.  If you haven't already be sure and RSVP if you are coming.  Price for the Make and Takes is $10 or FREE with an order that night.  Remember it's the once a year BOGO event as well.

Renee

Stars and Stripes

Well it's been a busy week for me and there is still more to accomplish, but I wanted to take a minute or two and share a card that I made to send to a fellow Stampin'Up! demonstrator so that she can pass it on for who it is intended for.  Her husband happens to work for the Las Vegas police department where the tragic shooting took place last Sunday.  This card is just a way to let those officers, who have experienced this great loss of two of there comrades, know that there are people from all over who care.

I was able to use my new Star Framelits and the Be the Star stamp set to make this.  Wish it could have been under better circumstances, but I was certainly glad I had purchased these on my first new catalog order.  These were definitely on the top of my list.  The little star is from the new Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.

Well thanks for stopping by.
Blessings,
Renee

She Believed She Could

How was your weekend?  The weather was beautiful here and for the most part the weekend was relaxing.  I was able to spend a little time in the stamp room, which is always good.

I want to share with you today something I've made for my daughter to have in her new office.  She recently moved up a step in her job and is now a case worker at the Department of Human Resources for the State of Michigan and she has her own office.  I am so proud of her and all that she has accomplished in the last 25 years.  She is an amazing daughter and a very hard worker.  Looking back I'm reminded of when she was in the 3rd grade and was struggling with school.  The school psychologist for our area gave us the advice that she was behind and that we should put in her special education because she was never going to catch up.  Really?  Well as you can expect, we put that thought out of our heads and moved on.  As a parent, who had always been involved with my children's education, I stepped it up a notch and also made her step it up as well.  She graduated from high school with excellent grades and in fact was her class vice president one year, class president her junior year and the student council president her senior year.  When she gave her speech at graduation she spoke with such maturity that I had one of her former teachers tell me that her speech was better than the valedictorian's and salutatorian's that year.  She followed high school with college and is now in her present position.  As I said before I am so proud of her and I'm extremely proud to say she's my daughter.  I love you my sweet girl and I know you will go far.  Congratulations on your new job!

Thanks for stopping by!
Blessings,
Renee

PS  This is called a block card.  It can fold flat to be a card or stand up as a 3D item.  It's quite easy to make and I'll be teaching it in a future class.  Stay tuned!

Graduation Gift

Hey there!  I hope you are enjoying your Saturday.  It is beautiful weather here today.  We are headed to a graduation party here shortly, but I wanted to get a post in for today.  This is a little frame that I whipped up for a grad gift.

I used some of my new goodies to make this.  The new stamp Blended Bloom and then I used the new Blendabilitie markers.  These markers will be available soon.  Hopefully by mid-summer.  This was a first attempt, but I don't think I did too bad.  These are an alcohol based marker.  You can even color the rhinestones and it remain permanent.  How cool is that?  Rhinestones, pearls and even the crystal buttons can be colored.

Here is the card that I'm putting some cash in to go with the gift.  The words are from a retired set, but it's a set I will keep because I think it is perfect for graduation cards.  I used Island Indigo and Coastal Cabana.  I used the same stamp to make the background on the card as well.

Well it's almost time to leave so I better get scooting along.
Blessings

Some Sadness at the Ondrajka's

I have some sad news to share today.  It's been a rough week for our family.  Last Friday we had to say goodbye to our 13 1/2 year old fur baby.  It was such a tough decision, but was one that had to be made.  We didn't want to see her suffer and knew it was time and in a strange way I think she did too.  It's breaking my heart right now to even type this.  She was such a good dog and always so loving.  She certainly was my pal around the house here and she is greatly missed.

This picture is of her just a year ago on Memorial Day.  She sure loved to roll in the grass.

This is a picture that was taken when we had family pictures taken several years ago.  I'm so glad we have this one.  I think it's a beautiful picture and one we will always treasure.  The card is from the vet.

I'm sorry if this post was annoying to anyone, but our animals weren't just animals to us.  They were family.  For the first time in 33 years I don't have a fur baby.  They are all gone now and I'm not sure if we will get another, but I won't say never.

I will leave you with a card that pretty much sums up my feelings right now.  RIP my sweet Tippy Toes. Mommy loves you!

*I forgot to mention that this was a total case from fellow demonstrator Justin Krieger.  Thanks Justin for such a great idea.

Blessings,

Renee
