Covered Notebook

Here is a notebook I made recently.  I found the directions somewhere on line, but can't remember now quite where that was.  The decorating was my own creation.  Oh wait, I think I remember now.  Hopefully I can post the video here.  Let me give it a try.

Oh WOW!  Looks like I did it.  Yay for me!  Hope you enjoy the video.  I'm off to do a workshop tonight for one of my most favorite hostesses.  Joni, I'm looking forward to seeing you and your friends tonight.

Blessings,
Renee

Thank You Doily

Here is a card that I cased from a card I saw on Pinterest.  It was made by a lady by the name of Maureen Merritt.  I loved the color combo and the layout and how easy it was to put together.  Perfect since I had a couple of quick thank you's to get out.  Getting back to Pinterest..... don't you just love it?  If you don't know what it is be sure to check it out and if you'd like an invitation to join just let me know your email address and I'll invite you.  It's an awesome place to get ideas and to organize those ideas, but I must warn you it can be addictive. *wink*

Here's what I used:
Stamp Set/s: Delicate Doilies and Curly Cute
Ink:  Island Indigo, Pool Party and Lucky Limeade
Paper:  Whisper White and Pool Party
Other:  Scallop Trim Border Punch and Doily Triple Layer Punch, Dimensional

Hope you're enjoying your Friday!
Blessings,
Renee

Blue Valentine

Happy Belated Valentine's Day!  I had wanted to get this posted on Tuesday, but my Tuesday didn't really go as planned.  I had running around to do for my aunt and uncle and well let's just say it was an exhausting day.  By the time I got home I had a couple things that had to be taken care of (bills paid--ugh!) and get the little things I was doing for my hubby and girls done before they got home, so blogging got pushed to the back burner.  Then yesterday I wasn't feeling well and didn't even visit the stamp room.  I just layed on the couch and rested.  Today I'm feeling better, but had everything from yesterday to catch up.  Funny how when mom is sick no one takes over.  Hmmmm???

Anyway, onto my card.  Nothing real fancy and very easy to make.  You could even change the sentiment and use the same layout and stamp.  I think this would make a nice Thinking of You card and it could be made in any color.

Here's what I used:
Stamp Set/s:  Take It to Heart, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink:  Island Indigo
Paper: Island Indigo and Whisper White
Other: Adorning Accents Embossing Folder, Hearts Framelits and Island Indigo Ribbon

Blessings,
Renee

Container Makeover

I didn't get a chance to post yesterday so I thought I'd get something posted now since I had to cancel my Stampin'Up! workshop for today.  The roads were just nasty and I wasn't crazy about traveling to Pt. Hope by myself.  Frank a lot of times is able to go to parties with me, but he had to work today.  A big thanks to my hostess Wendy for her understanding.  She's a teacher and is use to subbing so she said that she'd throw a couple cards together for the couple ladies who were still coming and we'd turn her party into a book party.  Bless you Wendy!

So instead of letting the day be a waste I came to the stamp room and worked on a project I've had in my mind for awhile now.  I had this container I had saved and I knew I certainly could come up with something to do with it.

I had visited fellow demo Lyssa's blog and came across this adorable technique and knew I had to give it a try.  So I punched out my scallop circle in a piece of Calypso Coral I had on my desk and then used the new package of Calypso Coral Baker's Twine.

After making the medallion I then turned to my Stampin'Up! Color Coach to pick out the rest of my colors
Color Coach - by Stampin' Up!I choose the Sweet Set color combo---Calypso Coral, Riding Hood Red and Basic Gray.  And well this is what I came up with.............

Here's another picture of it open................
So what do you think?

Blessings and have a great day!

Two Tags Basket

I know it's been sometime since I've posted a 3D project.  If you've followed my blog for very long you know that at one time I did a lot of 3D items, but have sort of gotten away from them.  Not sure why other than they usually take a little more time to make and time isn't always on my side.  So today I thought why not and really this didn't take any longer than a card.  Using the Two Tags Big Shot die made it extremely easy.  I used 2 tags and a strip of cardstock for the sides.  You can find a tutorial for this Here and it includes all the measurements.

Here's what I used:
Stamp Set:  Apothacary Art
Paper: Calypso Coral, Very Vanilla and Everyday Enchantment DSP (SAB)
Ink:  Soft Suede, Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz Stampin'Write Markers
Other:  Everyday Enchantment organdy ribbon and designer brads (SAB), Frames Edgelits

Blessings,
Renee

Kindness Matters

Well it's hump day and the weekend is not far away.  Do you have special plans for the weekend?  I have a Stampin'Up! workshop on Saturday and then my hubby and I are going to the movies to see The Vow.  Really looking forward to seeing that.  Oh and I'm looking forward to Wendy's workshop too. *Ü*

Well onto today's card.  I used the stamp set Kindness Matters.  This set in found in the Idea Book and Catalog, but during Sale-a-bration you can receive this set for FREE with a $50 order.

It's really a cute little set as you can see here:
Kindness Matters Stamp Set - by Stampin' Up!
Here's what I used:
Stamp Set: Kindess Matters
Paper: Baja Breeze, Calypso Coral, Whisper White
Ink: Baja Breeze, Calypso Coral
Other:  Labels Framelits, Doily Large Sizzlet Die, Everyday Enchantment Organdy Ribbon (SAB), Dimensionals and Glue Dots

Don't you just love the Doily?  I was a little hesitant about this die since it has so many little pieces that need to come out, but it cut very easily and the little pieces popped right out.  It's available in the Occasions Mini Catalog and sells for $21.95.

Well I hope you enjoyed this card and thanks for stopping by.

Imagine

Today's card is made using the set I've been telling you about called Take It to Heart.  I've only been using the banner from that set, but now I've used another stamp from this set and I didn't have to worry about cutting the heart out because I used the Hearts Framelits.  These are so stinkin' easy to use.  I just love them and can't wait to see if Stampin'Up! comes out with more shapes.  How did I ruffle the ribbon you ask?  Easy, it comes that way.  Isn't that cool.  I love this ribbon and it comes in 4 colors.....Baja Breeze, Blushing Bride, Riding Hood Red and Pear Pizzazz.  It measures 3/8" and comes in 5 yard spools for $6.95.   The little heart stamp I used for the background comes in the Take It to Heart set as well.

Here's what I used:
Stamp Set/s: Take It to Heart, Loving Thoughts
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Baja Breeze
Paper:  Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Twitterpated DSP
Other: Hearts Framelits, Riding Hood Red Pleated Satin Ribbon, Adorning Accents Edgelits Die

Have a good weekend and I'll see you here on Monday.
Blessings

Well I'm a little late in posting today, but I told myself I was going to get it done even if supper didn't get made, but it's getting made.  Frank is right now learning the fine art of making Hamburger Helper and I'm in my stamp room.  I have another card for you using the Sale-a-bration stamp set Fresh Vintage.  You will also see that I used the banner again from the new set Take It to Heart.  If for no other reason you need this set for the banner.  I just love it and it is very quick and easy to cut out and the words from Loving Thoughts fit so well into it.  Heck, you need both of these sets.  You know you do. *grin*  The card I'll show you tomorrow will really convince you.
Here's what I used:
Stamp Set/s: Fresh Vintage, Take it to Heart, Loving Thoughts
Ink: Lucky Limeade, Poppy Parade, Chocolate Stampin'Write Markers, Poppy Parade Ink Pad
Paper:  Whisper White, Lucky Limeade, Everyday Enchantment DSP
Other:  Labels Collection Framelits, Adorning Accents Embossing Folders, Designer Frames (SAB choice), Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Everyday Enchantment Organdy Ribbon, 1/2" Chocolate Satin Ribbon

All items can be ordered from my Stampin' Store or directly through me.

Sprinkling Happiness

Today's card is made with a new set from the Occasions Mini Catalog called Gnome Sweet Gnome.  I got this set for FREE from Stampin'Up! during a booking promotion.  It may not be everybody's style, but I think it's cute and reminds me of the movie Gnomeo and Juliet which my girls and I had seen when it was in the theater.  Again maybe not everybody's style, but a cute movie I thought.

Here's what I used:
Stamp Set/s: Gnome Sweet Gnome, Loving Thoughts
Paper: Real Red, Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, Basic Gray, Regals DSP stack (night of navy)
Accessories: Stampin'Write Markers, White Gel Pen (on socks), small heart punch, real red grosgrain ribbon, corner rounder

Blessings
Renee
