A Good Stamping Day

Hey all!  I don't know about where you all come from, but this winter here in Michigan has been so very dreary.  The sun hasn't shown its face in days and they weather people are saying it's going to b another week before we see it. Yikes!  It makes me so tired and sleepy and I don't feel like doing anything, even stamping. I know gasp!!!  Well I fought it off and headed to my office today to stamp. My office/stamp room is in the basement which can make it worse, but I turned on all the lights and brightened the place up. I started to stamp and I feel so much better tonight.

First I'll share the card I sent to my two Survivor group members that I owed cards to. I was Hannah and ended up in the top three so I sent cards to the other two.

Ok, I tried last night to post this from my Ipad and for some reason I could not get the pictures to post and finally just went to sleep.

Here's a couple of fun samples for you.

Isn't this chick just the cutest?  There's actually chickens that look like this.  Well maybe not the colors I've used, but ones that have these fun head and tail feathers.  This stamp set can be gotten for free with a $50 order right now during Sale-a-bration.  I will list all the items use to make this below.

This pretty lady was fun to make.  I did some paper piecing with the Sending Love DSP stack.  OK, I'm going to get this to post and will be back tomorrow with some more fun ideas for you.

Blessings,
Renee

"OSAT Blog Hop – No Rules New Year”

Welcome to the OSAT January ----No Rules New Year Blog Hop!  We took December off and I have to tell you I actually missed it.  Don't get me wrong it was nice not having one thing more added to my plate for December, but I am happy to be back hopping and some routine.  Hopefully this will get me back to blogging again on a regular basis.  I truly need routine to keep me on track.  So you may have reached here from the wonderful  Maria Willis' blog.  She always has such nice projects, doesn't she?  If you arrived by other means and want to take the full hop you can always look at the bottom of this post and I will have the links to everyone on the hop.

When I saw this set in the new Occasions catalog I knew that I had to have it.  As most of my regular followers know I've been a cake/cookie baker decorator for well.........a lot of years.  Yeah I may have started when I was 13 with my first decorated cake and as they say the rest is history.  This set is too cute and a great little "pun" set to boot.

My colors used are one of my favorite color combos.  Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party  with just a bit of Basic Black to make it pop.  This set doesn't have framelits so anything you see cut out was fussy cut, but really, it wasn't that hard.  I stamped, cut and popped up the mixer with dimesionals and also stamped it on the Whisper White piece as well.  This allows me to not have to cut the beaters out. Notice the new Stitched Framelit piece it's stamped on?  These will be available again next week.  Yay!  I stamped the background using the bowl stamp in this set to make my own DSP.  I stamped it in Pool Party because I feel it is a great coordinating color with Bermuda Bay.

Then it was onto my 3D project.  I chose to make a tag and put it on a cello bag of peanut butter/chocolate chip cookies.  Yes, I made them special for this photo and I may or may not have made a few extra cookies to sample. 😋

I wanted the stamped layer to pop a little so I added one of our new Lace Doilies.  These are so neat because they are Whisper White on one side and Very Vanilla on the other.  Cool huh?    I colored all the stamped pieces in using our NEW WATERCOLOR PENCILS and a blender pen.  Coloring in with them is so easy and you don't have to be artistic at all to use them.  To tie the bag off I used some of the new silver/gold ribbon that is available as a SAB free item.  Along with the gold ribbon I used some 1/8" stitched Bermuda Bay ribbon and a piece of gold sequin trim.  I just love me some glitz and shine.  Surprisingly enough I didn't use any Wink of Stella on these projects.  GASP!  I know, what happened to me?  I can always go back and add it if I do decide to give these cookies away. LOL! 😜

Well that's all from me.  I hope you've enjoyed my projects and you will continue onto the amazing Kim Smith's blog.   Thanks so much for stopping by!
