Time..............

Time......where does it go and why doesn't it ever come back?  That's just something I've been thinking about lately.  My oldest one is moving on Saturday and I keep asking myself, where have the last 26 years gone?  How did they happen so fast?  Did I love on my kids enough when they were little?  My sister, the voice of reason, said of course we did.  If we'd loved on them anymore it would have gotten awkward.  LOL!  I've also been thinking about time in relation to my parents.  They are aging and needing more help and again I ask myself where has the time gone.  In my head I still feel like I'm in my twenties although my body tells me on a regular basis that I'm not.  So where is this all going?  I'm not sure, it's just some thoughts that I'm having with so much change taking place.  I guess the whole point in this rambling is that time has once again gotten away from me and I haven't posted to my blog, but I'm here today and have a couple things to share.  And speaking of change, don't forget that the Stampin'Up! retired list has been released and there are many items that will soon no longer be available.  Check them out and get what you want before they are gone forever.  You can order from my store HERE

Now to the projects.

Here are a couple of cards made with the set Blooming with Kindness.  This is such a pretty set and I certainly will miss it since it is retiring.  If you don't have this set be sure and order it before it's gone forever.  The first card I used Hello Honey and Blackberry Bliss.  The second card I used Pistachio Pudding and Pink Pirouette.

Thanks for stopping in and happy stamping.
Blessings,
Renee

Hello There!

So what did you think of the retired list?  Seems pretty big this year, but don't we always think that?  If you missed the post you can check out my post from Tuesday and download it to view or print.  Now is the time to get those things that you will be sorry you didn't get when you had the chance.  Visit my store to place your order www.reneeond.stampinup.net and click on the SHOP NOW button.  And while you are there be sure and order some of the weekly deals.

I can tell you that those Handpicked Framelits are just adorable.  I'm hoping they will carry over, but one can never be too sure so get them now because they will only be available until June 2.

I've got a project to share with you that I made this past weekend when I was stamping and scrapping with some of my peeps.  In fact I made enough projects to share all week and then life happened.  My dad was put in the hospital with a very bad case of bronchitis so my time has been spent either at the hospital or staying with my mom.  In fact I need to head there shortly, but wanted to get a post in.

This card was made using the Hostess set Hello There.  It's a great little set and you can get it free just by hosting a party of $150 in sales or by placing a $150 order.  It would only cost you $9 of your hostess benefits and you would still have $16 more to spend.  There is no better time than NOW to host a SU party!  What are you waiting for?  Give me a call and we can set a date.

Blessings,
Renee

My Digital Studio Retiring List (PDF)

My Digital Studio (Excel)

We're saying goodbye to retiring products from the 2014-2015 annual catalog, but before we do, we're giving everyone an opportunity to order their favorites with discounts up to 50 percent off retail. Retiring products will only be available until June 2 or while supplies last.

We're also including the My Digital Studio list, with all products discounted 30 percent off retail.
*Note: Due to high demand for retiring stamps, we'll keep producing retiring stamps until May 26 (not accessories-accessories are only while supplies last).

I'll try and post more later if I get the chance.  I have projects to share, but I have a calendar class tonight so I need to get a few things done.

Renee

Changes

Sorry it's been a few days since I posted.  Have had many things on my mind and lots happening very slowly, but yet very fast.  I know that doesn't make much sense, but I'll try to explain a little.  If you've been around my blog for very long you know that I have two amazing daughters, Lindsay and Brooke who are almost 26 and just turned 24.  Well this past week we celebrated Brooke's birthday.  She is a sweet girl who has such a zest for life and learning and doing new things.  She has always been that way.  Her second grade teacher told me that she was the biggest cheerleader in class, always excited to be doing something new.  We enjoyed celebrating her turning 24.  In honor of her birthday I made her this over-sized card.

This was actually a large board like card.  It was all white.  I covered it using some of the Best Day Ever SAB DSP.
I've had this book forever.  I think I bought it to make her 18th birthday card and it never got done.  I do eventually get to all those things I have stashed.  LOL!

Here is pic of her as a baby and now, but as any mom knows, she'll always be my baby.

This other thing I need to share isn't so easy.  Our oldest, Lindsay has taken a transferred job position doing what she currently does.  She is a case worker for the Michigan Department of Human Services.  She does a great job at what she does and we are so proud of her.  She has a heart as big as you'll find and enjoys being able to help those who need help.  She has felt led of the Lord to this new location and we are behind her 100%, although we are very sad to have her leave this area.  She will be about three hours away.  We know that the Lord has great and mighty things planned for her and we are happy that she is following His leading in this new adventure in her life.  I'm not going to lie though.  This old mom's heart is hurting.  One minute I'm ok and the next......well, a basket of tears.  My children mean so very much to me and I want nothing but the best for them and I will miss her dearly.  I thank God every day for both of them.  We wish Lindsay all the best as she steps out in faith.

Well, I guess that's it for now.
Blessings,
Renee

Last Call

Hi there!  I'm giving a last call for the Perpetual Calender class that is scheduled for April 21.  I will be placing my order by 7:00 pm tonight so if you want to attend, I need to know ASAP.

Remember today is the last day for free shipping as well.  You will be able to place an order until 11:50 MT or 1:50 EST.  Don't miss out on this great deal.  I recommend that you stock up on the out going In Colors.

The Butterfly Thinlits are suppose to be in stock on April 15.  Due to this problem that was beyond any one's control due to the dock strikes, Stampin'Up! has decided to offer a great deal to all those waiting when they do become available.

Here's the deal.

We realize you may be disappointed you were not able to purchase the Thinlits in time to receive Sale-A-Bration rewards--especially in the discounted bundles. Therefore, from the day Butterflies Thinlits are again available through April 30, we are bringing you two special offers:
  1. Get the Butterflies Thinlits at a 15 percent discount--just $21.20!
  2. Buy any of the Butterflies Thinlits Bundles at the already-discounted price and choose one of three FREE Sale-A-Bration items (only available while supplies last)!
If you are interested in ordering the minute they become available, please let me know.  Contact my by email ibecakes@yahoo.com or call me (989) 551-1685 or send me a Facebook message and I will put you on the list to contact immediately.  If you need me to order them for you, please let me know that as well as if you want just the dies or the bundle (stamp set and dies) and if the bundle then which free item you would like and in order of preference since those items will be while supplies last.

Again thanks so much for you patience in this.  I'm working on favors for my sister's wedding so I don't have anything to show you right now.  I will work on getting something posted soon.

Blessings,
Renee

Happy Easter!

I'm typing this late Saturday night.  The breakfast food for church tomorrow is made and ready for the oven in the morning.  Chocolate Eclair Dessert is made and should be perfect by tomorrow afternoon.  The baked beans are mixed up and in the slow cooker crock in the fridge and will just need to be plugged in in the morning.  The pork loin will go in the roaster in the morning as well.  It will just be Frank and I, our girls, mom, daddy and my sister Chele and her fiance Rick.  It will be a good day or at least that is what I'm telling myself.  For some reason I have an overwhelming feeling of sadness over me.  Not really sure why.  I think part of it is I'm really missing some people.  One of those people is my grandma Bessie.  She passed away 23 years ago on the first of April.  She was such a important part of my life and I still miss her so.  The good thing is I have that hope of seeing her again some day.  That is the hope that Easter can give to all those who believe.  Praise God Jesus didn't stay dead and buried.  He AROSE!!!  So in spite of some sadness in missing those who have gone on before us, we can rejoice in knowing we will meet again.

I didn't make any Easter cards to share so I will share some little things I made for some little girls we know and also a card I received in my Stampin' Survivor group.  Yeah, I'm doing that fun group again and so far I'm still in the game and receiving beautiful cards.

The little owl gift has a lip balm inside.  This is a pattern I made back in 2007 and it was an original of mine.  I'll have to share it sometime soon.  The one with the initials is a little notebook and of course the one in the middle is a bag of Skittles.  Who doesn't like Skittles?

This adorable card was made by fellow demo Julie Husting.  I will let my heart rejoice like this little bunny is doing this Easter.  In the end I do have so much to rejoice and be thankful for.  I am a child of God and that in itself is enough.

Easter Blessings to you all!
Renee

A Great Opportunity

Well friends, do I have some great news for you.  Starting Monday, April 6 and running through April 10 Stampin'Up! is offering FREE SHIPPING ON EVERYTHING.  That's right....FREE SHIPPING!  This would be a great time to stock up on those items you use all the time and also a great time to get some of those things you've had on your wish list.  You can order on my website HERE or you can call me and I will be more than happy to help you place an order.  Don't forget that the 2013-15 colors will be retiring so you may want to stock up on those before they are gone forever.

Here is my class schedule:
Tuesday, April 21, @6:30 pm....Come join me as we make the Perpetual Calender from the Occasions catalog.  The price of this class is $25 and includes the kit.  You will need to supply adhesive and scissors.  This needs to be prepaid by April 10.  You are not considered registered for the class until I receive your money.  No extra kits will be ordered.  This really will be a fun class.  You will go home with a calendar that can be used over and over again to remember those special days.

Tuesday, May 19, @6:30 pm...Join me as we make fun projects using retiring stamp sets.  The cost of this class is $20.  You will need to supply adhesive, scissors, paper cutter and bone folder.  You will need to RSVP and prepay for this class no later than May 7.  This way I can have everything ready to go for a fun night of stamping.

I accept cash, check or credit card for these classes.  Space will be limited so register early.

Now for today's project.

In case you haven't noticed I've been using a lot of Coastal Cabana lately.  This is such a great color and I will be sad to see it retire.  Here I've paired it with Island Indigo.  The Bermuda Bay sequin trim goes with it well too.

Here's wishing you a joyous and blessed Easter weekend.
Blessings,
Renee

Bokeh Anyone?

I thought I'd try the Bokeh technique again after I watched a video by fellow demonstrator Wendy Cranford.   If you recall I posted a card HERE on the same technique.  I like how this card came out a little better.  The thing with this technique is that no two are going to look the same even if you use the same colors.  I love the Springy look to this one.  I just may have to make a few more.  It's a little messy, but I love the look.

As you've probably noticed by now, I love to stage my photos with props for the season/holiday.  I've received several compliments on doing that and it makes me happy.  It's the little things in life where I find joy.  I am thankful for each and everyone of you who follow my blog.  I know that not many leave comments, but I am getting lots of hits so I know you are out there.  I hope that in some way I inspire your creativity.

The colors I used on this card are Calypso Coral (one of my all time favs), Crushed Curry and Pear Pizazz and of course the circles were sponged in Whisper White.  Maybe I will try and make this my next video.  I want to do another one, but just haven't been sure what to do it on.  The stamp sets used are Fabulous Four and Flower Shop.  Cardstock is Pear Pizazz, Calypso Coral and Whisper White.  I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Blessings,
Renee
