Peace & Joy

I wish you peace and joy today my stamping friends.  Today I have a card to share with you that is from the new photopolymer stamp set called Gentle Peace.  It is not in any current catalog, but was released last week as an addition to our photopolymer line of stamps the price is $15.95 and the item number is 139523. This is what the stamp set looks like.

And here is my card.
I colored it in using the Blendabilities.  It took me a little time, but I absolutely love to color.  As a child nothing made me happier than a new coloring book and a set of crayons.  I used the peace and joy from the Good Greetings stamp set that is a hostess only set until the end of this month.  Hostesses can earn it by having a $300 workshop or order.  Do you recognize the little gold glimmer paper cutouts?  I used the tummies of the owl punch that I had leftover from making the owl witches on a sucker.

Well, I must be going.  I have a funeral visitation this afternoon to attend of a dear friend, who lost her battle with cancer.  I am so going to miss her beautiful smile.  She was always smiling and had a heart of gold.  Rest in peace my dear friend Tina, you will be missed greatly.  I then have to work at the hunting lodge tonight.  That job lasts another week and a half so hopefully then I can get back to posting on a regular basis again.

Thanks for stopping by!
Blessings,
Renee

Hand Sanitizer Holder Tutorial

Good Morning!  I've been asked by quite a few to show directions on how I made the little hand sanitizers I had on yesterday's post.  Though I would love to do this with a video, I'm yet not ready to do that so I will show you in pictures and hopefully you'll get the idea.  I saw this idea quite awhile ago and I can't remember where right off hand, but here goes and then at the bottom of the post I'll share some of the other ones I made as well.

Well I need to get going.  I've got lots to get accomplished yet before I head to the hunting lodge today.
Blessings,
Renee

My Weekend

Well I know I've been missing a few days, but now it's time to catch up again.  I've really been working my business and last week was extremely busy for me.  I had a workshop on Monday and then worked at getting everything ready to go to the scrapbooking retreat.  It was a wonderful weekend and it was such a blessing to see how God let it all come together for his good.  The speakers were wonderful and was just what I needed.  Teaching make and takes and helping those who needed help with other things was a good time as well.  Overall just a great weekend.  I wanted to share a couple things with you that I made and had for sale on my table and then as the week progresses I can get pics taken and share other things as well.

I made this notebook using the clear mount stamp cases that Stampin'Up! sells.  If you are interested in purchasing this notebook I have one and it is $6.50.  Inside is a mini type legal pad with a pen.  These make great gifts and are also nice to carry in your purse because they are well protected.  Contact me if you would like to purchase one.
Here are a couple of hand sanitizer gifts.  I use Bath and Body Works sanitizers in them.  I sold all but two of them this weekend.  I can always take orders though if you are interested.  Makes a nice little gift.

Here are this weeks weekly deals.  Let me know if you would like to order any of them or you can also order directly from my STORE

A Case and a Merry

Well it's only Tuesday and somehow it seems like it's already been long.  I had a doctor appointment yesterday and then had to have some blood drawn today so I've been to the hospital twice this week so maybe that is why I feel like it's already been a long week.  I'm busy working towards getting ready for Bay Shore's scrapbooking/stamping retreat this weekend.  At the moment it seems like I might not make it, but it always comes together.

I had a party last night and I wanted to share the two make and takes we made.  This first one was a change at the last minute after I saw the card that my SU demo friend Dawn made.

Is this not the cutest?  The minute Dawn posted it I knew I had to make it and have it be our make and take for last night.  Love it!!!  Thanks so much Dawn for letting me case it.  The stamp set is Four Feathers and has matching Framelits.  You can purchase it in a bundle for $20.25 in clear mount 137630 or for $22.75 in wood mount 137629.  You will find the bundle in the Holiday catalog.

This is the other one.  This new set Seasonally Scattered in the Holiday Mini is such a nice set.  It's a 3 piece set that says, Thanks, Merry and Love.  We used the Trim the Tree DSP stack and added some of the Frosted Embellishments to make it pop.  The base of the card is Pistachio Pudding and the red is Cherry Cobbler.

Again, thanks for stopping by!
Blessings,
Renee

A Beautiful Fall Saturday

It is a beautiful Fall Saturday here in the Thumb of Michigan.  It's a brisk 52º, but the sun is shinning.  The sun shinning always makes a difference.  I will be heading out to the hunting lodge shortly since today is opening day for duck hunting season.  I'll be making supper for tonight and I'll have my little sissy Chele helping me.  We always have fun together.

Here is a Christmas card for you today.  I wanted to make a round card and this is what I came up with.

If you'd like more details on this please feel free to ask.  Have a great day!
Blessings,
Renee

Joy Ensemble

In a way the week has been short, but yet long.  Ever have those kind of weeks?  I've been trying to fit a lot of things in and get a lot of things done before I go to my three day scrapbooking & stamping retreat next week.  It's not really a retreat for me per-say because I will be working most of the time I'm there, since I am a vendor for the weekend, but I do enjoy myself while I'm there.  Today I've been working on things I will have for sale at the event, but wanted to stop for a bit and share a couple of things I made earlier in the week.

I made this cute little ensemble using the Joy framelit from the Wonderful Wreath Framelits.  I used the Silver Foil paper and applied some of the Adhesive sheets to it and then cut it out with the framelit.  I then was able to adhere it to the clear bulb.  I took some 1/2" strips of the Trim the Tree DSP stack and curled them around my Paper Piercing tool and popped them into the ornament.  I then tied on some Cherry Cobbler 1" Sheer Linen Ribbon and it was good to go.  So very easy to make and then while I was at it I had to make a card to match.  I am extra pleased with the Cherry Cobbler ribbon.  It really is nice and sturdy.  The stars are punched using the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.  I think this would make a nice little co-worker gift or for when you need that little something to give to someone special.

Here's wishing you a great weekend!
Blessings,
Renee

Hello My Deer.....Woo's there?

Do you like my catchy title today?  What can I say it's Wednesday, cold and overcast.  I really dislike that we are having so many of these days.  It's seems too early for them.  It's good though that I'm busy in my stamp room so that I don't notice it too much since I have lots of lights in my room.  I have a workshop being hostessed by a customer here tonight and I'm ready.  Don't have to carry my bags too far....just up the stairs and if I play it right Lindsay or Frank will carry stuff up.  LOL!  I will show you those projects tomorrow since I don't want to ruin the surprise for those who are coming tonight.  I am really loving the fact that my stamp room is cleaned and uncluttered right now.  It's so nice to have everything put in it's place and I'm doing well at cleaning up after myself.

Here's what I have for you today.

This was the first time using this set White Christmas and creating a scene.  The little bitty leaves are from the set Holiday Home.  Where we live this is a very common scene.  We have lots of dear and everyone prays that they don't end up on the front of their cars.  It was fun to make this card and I look forward to creating more scenes with this set.  The colors are Cajun Craze, Hello Honey, Mossy Meadow and Tangelo Twist.   I used Crumb Cake to color in the dear.

This little guy was inspired by many different ideas I have seen on Pinterest.  It is made of course with the Fry Box and lots of different punches.  I should have changed the ribbon to some Tangelo Twist, but I quick grabbed this bag from one of the Fry Boxes we made at a recent stamp class so that I would have something to show in it.  I think he is pretty cute.  These boxes are so quick and easy to make.

Don't forget about this weeks Weekly Deals.

You have a good evening and I'll see you back here tomorrow, hopefully.  I start my seasonal baking/cooking job at the private hunting club that I work at during October/November.  I will be making cookies and sweetbreads.  Have any favorite recipes for these?  I'd love new ideas.  Feel free to post here.

Blessings,
Renee

Happy Halloween Ghosts

Good afternoon!  I've come to the conclusion that as much as I'd like to get my posts so that they would post first thing in the morning, I'm just not that organized and I do much better doing them later in the day.  I think it's because I share them in other groups and such that it's easier for me to do them all at one time because I can't pick a scheduled time for them to post in those other groups or at least I don't know how to do it.  So I guess we are going to stick to later in the day.  Works for me, how about you?

Awhile back I bought these plastic paper plate looking plates in the Target $ Spot.  I love that area of Target.  Of course while doing the Great Stamp Room Clean Up, I found them again.  Boy do I have neat stuff in my stash.  LOL!

I had purchased the Motley Monsters DSP because I loved the candy corn paper so I thought that would be where I started.  I cut the circle using the largest circle in the Circle Framelits collection which happens to have scallops.  It was the perfect size.  I then used the Fall Fest little ghosts with their faces.  The words and the crow come from this months My Paper Pumpkin.  I cut them out using the Apothecary Accents Framelits.  I punched the stars from Gold Glimmer Paper and the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.  I attached them using Glue Dots.  The circle was attached using Sticky Strip and the ghosts, greeting are popped up with Dimensionals.  I think this makes a cute little decorative plate

Well, tomorrow I have a Stampin'Up! workshop that is being held here at my house at 6:30.  The hostess is my friend Becky.  If you would like to come to the party just let me know.  Becky and I would both be glad to have you.

Have a relaxing evening!
Blessings,
Renee

A Grateful Muslin Bag

I have a super simple project to share with you today.  This little muslin bag was so quick and easy to make. I'm embarrassed to tell you how long I've had this bag.  It was part of a make and take at convention 2013 and I just sort of found it in a pile during the great stamp room clean up.  How do things like that happen?   I'm sure it can be through no fault of my own. *wink*  I sat down quick and stamped it and then stamped a matching tag, filled with candy and viola a cute little gift to give or maybe just a good place to hide your candy. *U*  These little bags are found in our catalog on page 200.  The bag measures 4" x 5-1/2".  Item number is #132180 and you get 8 of them for $9.95.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Blessings,
Renee

Well It's Done

BEFORE

I finished up today.  My office is clean.  I wiped everything down, swept and washed the floor and put everything back where it goes.  It feels so good.  Now I'm tired and I wish I felt like stamping.  Tomorrow is another day though.

AFTER

Does it look better?  I certainly think so and it feels so good to have stuff organized and accessible again.

Well today was World Card Making Day and I had an event planned, but in the end no one could come, which was ok because of all I accomplished today.  Besides I will be partying with a lot of these ladies in the next week or so because they have parties booked.  I will share a card I made though to honor the day.  This is a single stamp in the Holiday Catalog called Christmas Bauble (133824) $10.95.  When I saw this stamp it just screamed Blendie markers to me.  I love to color so this was right up my ally.

This card was my first card from our Stampin' Survivor Style group.  Judy McCombs person Nadia was voted off two weeks ago so she had to send everyone a card.  I love the card.  Don't know if you can tell, but she used the little teeny tiny pearls on it.  It's so dainty.  Sorry you were voted off Judy, but thanks for the card.
Well that is it for today!!!  Time for supper and some TV with my honey.  It feels so good to have accomplished so much.  Thank you Lord for the strength.

Blessing,
Renee
