More January PP Kit Projects

Yes, I have some more PP kit projects for you.  These are little treat pouches and I filled them with, what else?  Chocolate!!!  These were really quick and easy to make since the kit came with so many hearts.  If you've been following the last two days, you know that this kit was love inspired.  I still have lots of hearts and banners left to make more projects as well.

I quickly stamped them with the PP stamp set and added some interest to them with the Timeless Textures stamp set.  On the one, I even used a some of the new Bermuda Bay ribbon from the Occasions catalog to make a tiny bow.

I know I've bee talking about the Wink of Stella and saying how sparkly and shinny it is and in this picture you can actually see some of it on the L.  I went over all the letters, but the camera only captured the L.  You really need to get some of this.  I know I'm going to stock up on some extras myself.

Valentine Paper Pumpkin Banner

Hey there!  I almost forgot to post tonight. I've been having fun coloring with my adult coloring books I received for Christmas. Hubby has been playing solitaire on his phone, I've been coloring and we've been watching American Ninja Warrior. It's a show we both love to watch together.

Well here is the banner I made yesterday with part of my PP kit. There is so much more in this kit. It is amazing how much you can do with these kits.

This hangs above my buffet in my dining room. My dad built my built in buffet and it's great for storing all my pretty dishes, yes I might have an addiction, but it's also a fun place to decorate. I'll have to take a pic and show you when I finish my Valentine display.

Well that's it for tonight. I still have about a half hour of coloring time until bed. :)

Paper Pumpkin Valentines

Happy Saturday!  Brooke came over this afternoon and we worked on our January Paper Pumpkin kits. This kit has so much in it.  We just touched the surface of what can be made.  Today I'm going to share a couple cards that I made and then will share the other things in the next few days.  These cards came together so quick and easy since the hearts were all ready to go.

I used the Thick Whisper White cardstock for my base and the heart and banners came in the kit.  I added the Timeless Treasures stamp set as well.

 The Timeless Treasures stamp set is available in the Occasions catalog.  I'm thinking this set should be a must have for everyone.  It has such basic, sort of abstract pieces that can be used on many projects.  You can't see it in the pictures, but I used some of the Clear Wink of Stella on the words and the little hearts.  It is so pretty in person.

Good Evening!  Yes, I'm just getting this posted now.  It's been a strange day.  Not anything exciting or exhausting really, just strange.  I guess it just seemed like everything was out of sync.  I think it all started last night when Sabby (our cat) didn't come and sleep with us.  You'd think that would have been great and I would have slept better, but no, I kept waking up because he wasn't there.  This morning when Frank came to kiss me goodbye, I asked him if he'd seen Suggie (our cat Sugar who passed away).  He was like, what???  Yeah I was out of it a little.  LOL!  Well Sabby was with him this morning and then headed to his hiding spot because by the time I got up, I couldn't find him.  I called and called and no sign of him.  I looked everywhere in his usual hiding spots and still no Sabby.  I went to get my hair cut and he did finally come out, but I'm not sure from where.  I think he's playing mind games with me.  He knows he's my baby and he wants to see if he can make me worry.  I know, I know, now I'm humanizing my cat.  What can I say.  I'm a cat lover.  LOL!

Anyway, here is my project for today.  I don't know about you, but I'm behind in getting some thank you cards out.  My bad, I know.  These are some that I actually had made before Christmas thinking I'd be good, but alas I am what I am and that's ok.  Right?  Did you watch the video I shared the other day?  Enough said right?

Here are the quick cards I have to share with you today.  It's fun to take a sheet of white cardstock and stamp randomly with one set and then cut it up into cards.  It's a great way to make several in a short amount of time.

Happy New Year!

Well it's over. I have to say that although 2015 held many good things, it also held some things that took an adjustment. In fact I'm still adjusting and probably will continue to do so. I started 2015 sick with influenza B and made daily trips to the doctor to keep me out of being admitted into the hospital. It was a long winter in getting back on my feet. In April, Lindsay, our oldest told us she was transferring with her job to a location three hours away. I had my moments of panic, but the first of May she moved to Gaylord, Michigan. It's been a big adjustment for me and sometimes it's a daily struggle. I've always had such good relationships with my girls. They are my world and  I miss them dearly when they're not around.  I've always loved being a mom. I know that I still am, but in a new way.  So Frank and I are officially empty nesters. How did that happen?  Seems like yesterday I was tucking them in bed at night. Speaking of beds. Brooke's room is now the guest room and Lindsay's room is slowly being turned into my sewing room. I haven't done any sewing in thee yet, but I did do all my Christmas wrapping in there on the folding table I purchased for cutting out fabric and my machine and material is in there.

Our big family event was my sister getting married in June. It was a wonderful occasion with family coming from California    That made it extra special. Those days will always hold special memories. We had the pleasure of my cousin Kelly staying with us. It was great to catch up as adults now.  In September we moved Lindsay into her very own first house. She is now a home owner, which makes it all even more real that she's a grown up on her own.  In October and November found me very busy with working at the hunting lodge once again and then the holidays were on top of us. We had a nice Christmas and Frank even gave me that proposal I've always wanted.

This is a necklace pendant slide. It was the proposal I never got 30 years ago. We just got married without that definitive proposal. He had always told me someday I would get one.....30 years to the day of our engagement it happened. It was a special moment. 

New Year's was low key. We stayed at home, watched tv and stayed in where it was warm. Today Brooke and I cleaned my office and did some crafting with Paper Pumpkin. Here is the kit from December. 

This is a 12 month calendar and it came with the cute stand. Due to its popularity even the refills sold out before I could buy extra. That is why it is great to subscribe to PP, so you don't miss out. Crafting today was just what I needed. Frank has been off on vacation this past week so my routine has been off. I look forward to getting back in the creating cave now with the holidays over. PS. I did this post while lying in bed using my new iPad mini 2. Santa was good to me. Hoping this makes it easier to post more often. Please forgive any spelling or grammar errors as this is still new to me. 

Where does the time go?

When I came to post I realized it's been two weeks since I've posted.  Where does the time go?  I was extremely busy getting ready for my new catalog open house and BOGO sale.  I had a great turn out and it was so good to touch base with my stamping friends.  Also since I posted last Frank had his 6 year cancer check up and all is good for another year.  They have even been able to reduce his thyroid medication and it's now cheaper.  Yay!  Praise the Lord!  We are thankful for any help that comes our way when it comes to medical bills.

Here is the make and take from my open house.

This was a quick and easy card, but I thought it was very cute, if I do say so myself.  The base of the card is Tip Top Taupe.  The next layer is the Neutrals DSP in Early Espresso.  The stamp set is You've Got This and the flower was stamped in Tip Top Taupe on top of Blushing Bride.  The words were stamped in Early Espresso.  The corner of that layer was punched with a new punch that is coming out in the Holiday catalog.  You are going to love this punch.  It has three punches in one.

On Saturday Frank and I worked on making this shelving unit for storage in the basement.  Normally these tubs are stacked on top of each other and when I need something, it's usually in the bottom tub.  This is going to be so much nicer to get at things. Maybe now I can get at some of those upcyle projects I've been wanting to do.

June Paper Pumpkin

It's been over a week since I've posted and I'm feeling bad that I haven't been sharing like I was.  I'll admit since my sister's wedding I've been in a little funk.  My Fibromyalgia has really reared it's ugly head and it's gotten me down.  Today I'm feeling quite a bit better.  It's so hard when you aren't feeling well, in constant pain and downright tired.  You know it's bad when I don't even feel like stamping.  I hope this flare up is on the downside and I can get back to enjoying life.  After all, it's summer, the weather is nice (for the most part) and the days are long.

I thought I would share with you today my cards I made with June's Paper Pumpkin.  These kits are so much fun.  Brooke and I spent some time making this months kit, which is always a great time when we get to craft together.

I was able to make all these cards with this months kit and I still have pieces left for other projects.  The envelopes were included and then had DSP liners to complete them.  Guess I didn't include that in the picture.

Last in a Series

Well it certainly has been a different sort of Sunday.  We received freezing rain overnight so our roads were extremely slippery this morning.  We decided to not venture out to church since we drive about 20 miles to church and then church was cancelled so we stayed put.  It is now snowing and the temps have continued to drop all day.  Just another day in Michigan.

Well I have the third card in a series that I've been doing using up some MPP kits.  These were so fun to make.

Don't you just love this woodcutter from Wood You Be Mine?  The ground on this card was stamped using the Sheltering Tree stamp set.  I thought that anchored him a little and made it not look like he was in mid air. LOL!  The hearts were from the Best Day Ever SAB set and I thought the stripes in the went real well with the stripes of the card.  The words are from the retired Good Greetings stamp set that was a hostess special last Fall.  I colored this with my Blendies.

I DO LOVE YOU

Hey there friends!  Today is National Wear Red Day.  Did you wear red?  Red is one of my favorite colors so naturally it wasn't hard for me to find something red.  So as you can assume my card is red today.  It was a very easy and simple card to make.  I used some of the leftover pieces from one of the Paper Pumpkin kits to make this quick card.  I used the Stacked with Love Washi Tape and the stamp set Big On You.  I love this sentiment set because the words are so big and can be the focal point on your project.  I've also used this stamp set to create some Project Life cards.

 I love to take pictures and I'm not normally one who feels real comfortable on the other side of the camera, but I thought I'd share a picture of myself since I'm wearing my red and my sister Michele colored and cut my hair this week and I felt like I was looking fairly good.  LOL!

Photopolymer Stamp Set Tip

Well here I am with another video.  This time it's a tip for storing the photopolymer stamp sets.  I know this one is still rough, but I guess I just need to keep practicing.  I wish I had a wider table to use, but I only have counter tops in my office so I'm still trying to figure out what the best angle is.  It was much easier to upload this time so that is a plus.  I hope you find this tip helpful in storing and using your photopolymer stamp sets. I know it's made a big difference for me.






I was hoping to post a card today as well, but when I went to take pictures I discovered that my camera battery needed to be charged so I guess that will have to wait until tomorrow.  I will show you the treats I made using January's My Paper Pumpkin.

The MPP kits just keep getting better and better.  In this kit there was a stamp set, Real Red ink pad and they all the bags, tags, hearts, clips and twine to make 24 treats.  Sorry, but candy wasn't included. ;)  It took 3 bags of M&M's to do the 24 bags.  Now who will be worthy of such an embellished treat?  LOL!

December Photo a Day....day 11

Here is my photo for Day 11.  I finished up the rest of my stars from the Many Merry Stars Simply Created Kit. My Paper Pumpkin Leftovers

Who doesn't like leftovers, especially if it has to do with pumpkin pie?  Oh, there I go again, getting MPP confused.  LOL!  I had some leftover pieces from this past month's MPP and decided I would make some Fall cards.

The smile die cut piece was in the kit and it was just white.  I stamped the Hardwood background over it with Baked Brown Sugar Tarts.  There I go again.  LOL!  Can you tell I'm a sweet eater?  I cut out the leaves using the Fun Fall Framelits and ran them through the Big Shot with the Woodgrain embossing folder.  The stars are from the In Color Sequins and are also Baked Brown Sugar.  I tied a little knot with the Gold Baker's Twin and then unraveled the ends.  Sponged a little Hello Honey on the background to give it an aged look.

This one I did pretty much the same thing except that I made a multi loop bow from Linen Thread.
