Welcome to the August OSAT blog hop. It's the End of Summer Tic Tac Toe. Well it's not really the end of summer. I like to hang onto summer as long as I can and we should have at least another month to month and a half here. Our Tic Tac Toe hop is always fun because it really opens up the possibilities. I'm a middle of the road kind of girl so I chose the middle row left to right.
I started out with DSP and went from there. I wanted to use some of the gorgeous DSP in our catalog. First I chose the Delightfully Detailed Laser-cut Specialty Paper and then decided that the focal point of my card I would use a new technique I found on the internet. I'm sorry I don't remember who did it. If it was you please let me know and I'll be happy to give you credit. Let me explain the steps.
1) Using black Stazon ink I stamped onto a piece of window sheet and let it dry.
2) Flipped it over and colored the image using our amazing Stampin' Blends. You must use these. The regular markers will not do.
3) I think adhered it to a piece of Silver Glimmer paper using glue dots. I had no problem with them showing at all.
3) I then fussy cut around the image.
That glimmer paper really makes it come to life. So the pumpkin is my embellishment. And last, but not least I used some Night of Navy Twine for a little bow on the greeting.
For my 3D project I chose one of our Striped Treat bags and then made a matching tag using the same elements as the card. Inside I inserted a Hershey candy bar. I know just the person that will receive this ensemble. A friend from church who had surgery just before I did last month has been so sweet to check on me from time to time so I thought it would be nice to give this to her.
Please keep hopping with us by clicking on the next person in the hop below.
Blessings,
Renee
