Welcome to the OSAT July Pretty in Pink blog hop!!! I hope this hop finds you doing well and enjoying summer. It is extremely and unusually hot here in the Thumb of Michigan. Thankfully our pool is open and the air conditioning is running. My stamping room is in the basement, but unfortunately it's so hot that the basement isn't that cool, although with a fan running it's not bad. I was happy to get to creating for this hop. I chose all new products and colors from the new catalog. I hope you like them.
I actually started with my 3D project so that is what I will start with first in my post. I knew I wanted to base my project around the Flowers for Every Season DSP & the matching Memories & More cards. This pizza box is covered using Basic Black as the back layer and I cut one of the Memories & More cards to layer on top. I wanted to bring out the white of the pizza box and the card did just that since the DSP didn't have a pink flower sheet with a white background. I then stamped the flower from the Tasteful Touches stamp set with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock. I colored them in using the Magenta Madness Blends. Very easy. I hand cut them out since there isn't a die shape for this flower, but they were quick and easy to cut out. I used the Forever Flourishing dies to cut the greens. I then used the new Lovely Labels Pick a Punch to make my label using Whisper White cardstock. The In Color Enamel Dots and a bow using the Forever Greenery gold cord finished it off. I popped the left flower up with Dimensionals and the right flower with doubled up Dimensionals.
The card used pretty much the same layout except I used embossing folders for the Magenta Madness layer. I put it through with the Tasteful Textiles embossing folder and then put it through twice, one on each end using the one embossing folder from the Greenery embossing folder. The third layer I cut the Flowers for Every Season DSP using the Ornate Layers die. Instead of the In Color Enamel Dots, I decided to use the Gilded Gems to make them pop with the busyness of the DSP.
I know these projects are probably a little fussier than most, but I sure had a lot of fun making them. You could replicate them easily since I've already figured all the steps out for you. LOL!
