OSAT Blog Hop Fuzzy Buzzy Friends

Welcome to the March OSAT /Blog Hop!  I'm so glad you stopped by,  To tell you the truth I sort of forgot that it was blog hop week because I've been preparing for my semi-annual Bay Shore Camp DIY retreat, but my project for the weekend worked  for here too so all I had to do was make a card to go with and I was good.  I love when an un-plan turns out.  LOL!  So with that being said my post here will be short and sweet.  I still have a few things to do before I leave tonight.

I absolutely love this Easter Bunny set and I hop you do too!  Most of it is self-explanatory, but if you need more info don't hesitate to ask. I used the masking method with this card.

Isn't he just the cutest little fuzzy creature?  I used the Stampin'Up! blends to color him and the eggs.  My next project is this adorable little frame. I'll be teaching this as a class to the ladies this weekend.  I hope they love it as much as I do.
I know there's a bit of a glare, but do you notice the frame?  It's sort of holographic like and that's why I purchased these.  I thought it looked spring like.  This was my first time using the Alphabet Bundle.  That's right!  These alphabets are so easy to use because they have a punch to punch them out.  There are a lot of other cute stamps in this set as well.  You can see this set and everything else I used on my projects below by clicking the picture links.  This will take you to my store.

We folks, that's all for today,  I've got a few things yet to do today.  I hope you'll continue the hop by clicking the link below for the next person.  Until next time...............
Blessings,
Renee

OSAT Shabby and Chic Blog Hop

Welcome to the February 2023 OSAT Shabby and Chic Blog Hop.  I'm glad you are here, however you arrived.  Please know you can always find a list of bloggers below and you can enjoy all the blog posts from this hop.  Lets jump right in.

I honestly wasn't sure what I was going to do for this month's projects.  I knew what the theme meant, but yet I wasn't sure I had a stamp set that fit the description.  Well who knew I had a stamp set that I hadn't even seen ink yet still in my stash.  When the stamp set first came out I knew I needed it because, well I'm lousy with plants, but surely I couldn't kill paper ones.  LOL!  When I sat down I had the base of this card already done and decided to build my card with it.  This die is beautiful.  It's so beautiful that I almost bought it twice. Well at least I knew I liked it. LOL!  It was cut out with the Textured Shimmer paper from the current mini catalog.  This paper is gorgeous in person.  As always I will have all the products used in my projects listed at the end of this post.  I think what really finished this card off was the little knots of twine I used and I frayed the ends.  That was the moment I fell in love with this card.
I am going to have to admit to cheating a little with this 3D project.  While I stamped and cut out all the succulents, this project was the brainchild of my youngest daughter Brooke.  Brooke is almost 32 and married to a wonderful man named Bill and they have the cutest calico kitty named Bella Anne.  Brooke and Bill just got back from Florida last night and we watched Belly, as we like to call her last week.  She gets along with our Sabby and they eat the same food and use the same kind of litter so it's pretty easy to have her here.  Anyway, Brooke came out this morning (Wednesday) to visit and catch up a bit and she got the idea for this adorable 3D project.  She used the plant pot as her starting point and went from there.  She stamped and cut the four pots and cut little strips of cardstock for supporting pieces and to attach it all together.  She then took a wider strip to make the bottom and attached it inside.  We took a piece of styrofoam and she glued that into the bottom.  I then cut a bunch of the succulents I stamped using the rock & roll method to give them the varied colors.  I first inked up in Soft Succulent and then rocked it on the Old Olive pad.  That is a technique from years ago.  Brooke then attached them to toothpicks using dimensionals and cut the toothpicks at varying heights.  She stuck them into the styrofoam.  To complete the look she added some Spanish moss.  I've always got Spanish moss on hand, but much wasn't needed for this little cutie.  She used some hot glue to attach and pushed it down using the Take Your Pick tool.  She finished it off by wrapping twine the pot and I made another little frayed knot to add to the front. We both love doing tiered trays and we thought this would be adorable on one.  I would have added it to my current trays to show you, but mine are all done up for Valentine's Day right now.  Here is a close up of this adorable little work of art.
I told he she would get full credit for her masterpiece. I had no idea what to do for a matching 3D project.  Frank had surgery two weeks ago and things have certainly been different having him home.  While I've enjoyed the time with him, it's time for him to go back to work next Monday.  He's doing well and can go back with some restrictions.  Brooke has always been super creative and her and I along with my other daughter Lindsay and my two sisters Carin and Michele love to get together to craft.  We try to do it as often as we can, but Brooke and I do it more because we live so close to each other.  Did you know they say those who craft or are on the creative side live longer?  I'm not sure if I live to be 100 that I'll use up all my crafting supplies.  LOL!  But it will be fun trying!
Thanks again for stopping by and I hope you've enjoyed mine and Brooke's projects.  Keep hopping along by clicking on the next name in the list below.
Blessings
Renee
