It's the Big Shot!

Can you believe it's been a week since I posted? My how time flies. Lots of "stuff" going on, but none of it has been a lot of fun until last night. I had my Big Shot Pennant class last night and I have to say that this class was one of the smoothest classes ever. The ladies had a great time making their pennant and also sampling the pumpkin cake. Here is a picture of Joni and Pam proudly displaying their FALL pennants. Wonderful Wednesday

Hey folks we're half way there. Don't you love Wednesday's? Hump day they call it. So I was thinking what wonderful things can I show you for a Wonderful Wednesday. You know it always pays to clean my stamp room because as I go I end up creating, so you'd think I'd clean more. Yeah Right! LOL Here's a couple of projects for your Wednesday.

Does this basket look familiar? It's a mini version of a basket I showed you last fall. It really is too stinkin' cute. Maybe later this week I can show you how it's made. Love that Tangerine Tango. Such a great fall color. Again with the Haiku DSP. Do you think I have a problem? LOL

This is a Tetly Tea container. I got the idea from a convention swap I was in. No it's not the Haiku DSP. This is the Main Blueberry. How cute and what a nice little treat for someone. Maybe you?

I'm off to take my mom to (as we say here in the Thumb of Michigan) "the city". Isn't it funny how we have certain sayings in different areas and we think they sound so normal, but yet others look at us like we're crazy? When we leave the Thumb, we're usually going to "the city" and when we get there we will probably get a " pop" to drink. I know some of you would get a "soda". Then there are those raised here and move away and come back and can't remember that we call it "pop" here. Isn't that right Anne? LOL

I'm sorry the picture here is so blurry. Not sure what's up with my camera today. This card is actually quite pretty in real life. I stamped the pumpkin on some Shimmery White cardstock and colored in with ink pads and aqua painters. Colors: Choc. Chip, Certainly Celery, Tangerine Tango, Haiku DSP, Autumn Harvest stamp set.


Here's Frankie Boy! Ok, my Frankie Boy doesn't quite look like this, but I do think this card is cute. There have been lots of different versions of him floating about in the stamping world and this happens to be my version. He's made with various SU circle punches. Colors: Old Olive, Lovely Lilac, Basic Black, Whisper White, Basic Gray

Yes, I dabble in the jewelry world a little too. This is a jewelry set I actually made on Labor Day. The beads are beautiful glass beads that you have to see in person to really appreciate. I made two sets of these so that I could feel like I could sell one set and keep one for myself. LOL If you would be interested in purchasing this set, please contact me.


This is probably my most favorite project as of late. I got my brayer out and several colors along with some sponges and this is the result. I followed Dawn Griffith's awesome tutorial on this. Isn't it preeettty? Makes me want to go and catch a sunset. Colors: Choc. Chip, More Mustard, Whisper White. Ink Colors: More mustard, Pumpkin pie, Bravo Burgundy,Chocolate Chip.

Please forgive my lack of postings

It's been quite the week. My uncle passed away unexpectedly last Wednesday. He lived in California and it had been sometime since I had seen him. We had always hoped to go out there soon to visit, but that just never seemed to happen. I guess this is a good scenario of waiting until you "have the money." That just doesn't seem to happen. He's my dad's oldest brother. Dad flew out on Friday to spend the week with his youngest brother and their families. I would have went with my dad, but unfortunately I had a wedding cake for this weekend. Mom and Dad and Carin and Luke were to have left for Missouri for a weeks vacation today, but that isn't happening either. It just seemed like a bad week and the rain only added to it all. I know that God allows all these things for a reason and sometimes it's hard to take it all in, but we just need to keep trusting Him since he knows what's best. I guess bad times can really only make us appreciate the good times more.

OK, if it sounds like I'm rambling, I guess I am. I don't have anything to show you today, but hopefully will be back tomorrow with some stamping. As always thanks for stopping in.

A Flower for All Seasons

I finally got around to putting ink to the set that I received at convention for my sales last SU year. You can find this set (A Flower for All Seasons) on page 87 of Fall/Winter Catalog. I wasn't sure what to do with this set until I was inspired by this card from Jami Sibley over on SCS. You can see her card here. I used the Holiday Treasures DSP and the large scallop circle was made with my Big Shot pennant die. The square scallops were done with the new square scallop punch. The ribbon is Riding Hood Red 5/8" striped grosgrain. The base of the card is Old Olive. I colored in the image using my ink pads and Aqua Painter.

These are some post it note books I'm making to sell at the new Back Street Quilt Shop in Elkton. They don't have a web site, but this page will give you their phone and email address. This is an adorable little quilt shop that just opened the first of this month. They are a quilting store, but they are also carrying some gifts as well. Barbie, one of the owners has been so sweet to me and has asked me to put some of my "wares" in her store. I'll be adding more things other than these, but I thought I'd share a little sneak peak. I'm off today to spend some time with my sisters and my mom. We are going to visit Leipprandt's Apple Orchard. I haven't been there yet this year and their apples are always the best. I then have a workshop at 3:30 this afternoon at my wonderful friend Debby Baker's house in Elkton. Looking forward to seeing all the ladies from that group. The are always so much fun. Well most of them anyway. LOL

It's Sunday!

Happy Sunday! Sunday is actually one of my favorite days. I not only get to go to church, but I get to spend time with Frank. Yes, even after 22 yrs. I still enjoy that. *wink*

Here is a little closer look at three of the cards I showed the other day. Did I tell you I really love the new "in colors"? This is the Riding Hood Red and Pink Pirouette. Again just using some of the leftovers on my workspace.
