Celebrate You!

I know it's been several days again since I've posted.  Time just seems to get away from me these days.  We've had some extremely humid weather and of course that causes my Fibro to flare up big time and then it's hard for me to concentrate on much.  I was doing better until this past Monday when I slipped on some water that was at the bottom of the basement steps.  I was headed down to the office and I had a couple things in my hand so I wasn't hanging onto the railing, but when I took that last step down to the basement floor I discovered there was a thin puddle of water under the rug and the rug was floating on top.  I of course didn't realize any of this until I stepped down and then hit the floor with my feet out in front of me.  I then sort of ricocheted backwards and hit my back on the bottom step and my head on the third step up.  It all happened so quickly and I couldn't figure out where the water had come from.  Well apparently there was a slug in the water softener and the timing was all off because of us losing power last week.  The timing on this was not good.  I have been taking it quite easy since Monday because my back has been hurting and it's all black and blue; also my tailbone feels bruised and I've had a slight headache.  I didn't go to the ER because it costs so much and we have such a high deductible to meet before our insurance even kicks in.  I'm doing better though and just taking it easy and allowing myself to heal which is probably what they would have told me had I gone into see the doctor.

I entered the stamp room yesterday (without falling) and did a little so I'm here to share with you.  I bought the lovely set called Birthday Blossoms and hadn't used it yet so I thought I'd see what I could do with it.  Here is my first creation with this set.
The flower is punched out with the Pansy punch.  The two layers that is the focal piece were made using the Lots of Labels Framelits.  These are new framelits for the Big Shot.  I added some of the Tip Top Taupe  1" Dotted Lace Trim that I adhered with some of our new Tear and Tape Adhesive.  This gives us the same great hold as the sticky strip did, but you can tear it instead of having to cut it.  Colors I used here are:  Watermelon Wonder, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White.  The little flowers were stamped in Pink Pirouette.  The stripped paper is from the DSP paper stack A Cherry on Top.  I added a few Adhesive Backed Rhinestones to finish it off.  The focal point piece is popped up with Dimensionals as well as the punched flower.  Well at least that is a start to getting to know this set.

Here are this weeks deals in case you haven't been on my Facebook page.

Until next time...........Blessings and have a great day!

June Paper Pumpkin

It's been over a week since I've posted and I'm feeling bad that I haven't been sharing like I was.  I'll admit since my sister's wedding I've been in a little funk.  My Fibromyalgia has really reared it's ugly head and it's gotten me down.  Today I'm feeling quite a bit better.  It's so hard when you aren't feeling well, in constant pain and downright tired.  You know it's bad when I don't even feel like stamping.  I hope this flare up is on the downside and I can get back to enjoying life.  After all, it's summer, the weather is nice (for the most part) and the days are long.

I thought I would share with you today my cards I made with June's Paper Pumpkin.  These kits are so much fun.  Brooke and I spent some time making this months kit, which is always a great time when we get to craft together.

I was able to make all these cards with this months kit and I still have pieces left for other projects.  The envelopes were included and then had DSP liners to complete them.  Guess I didn't include that in the picture.

If you haven't signed up for My Paper Pumpkin, then what are you waiting for?  This kit comes to your door each month filled with goodies.  The best part is that after you've completed the projects you still have the stamp set and ink to use for other projects.  You can sign up by visiting HERE.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

Blessings,
Renee
