“OSAT Blog Hop - Throwback Thursday”

  1. Welcome to the OSAT Throwback Thursday blog hop! I can't wait to see what everyone came up with on this fun themed hop. You may have gotten here by the way Dena Rekow's blog or some other way, but regardless you can go to the bottom of the blogger list on this post at anytime and pick up wherever you left off. So let's get started.
  2. Here is the card I cased. It was in the days before the Big Shot. This was made using oval punches
  1. Here is the same layout made with all new current products. I love the Smitten Mitten Framelits. Lots of cool pieces in this set and I love that there are little ones to do the embossing. My old card I used the "paper crimper". Remember that? Seems like a hundred years ago. LOL! I made the sentiment using the new Pretty Label punch and putting it back in the punch two more times after punching it out the first time and then I just trimmed the point ends it left. Looks like a whole different punch. The strip at the top was embossed with a piece from the framelits. I ran it through a couple of times to get the length I wanted.

Every year I make a framed project for Christmas. I have many frames and now I've given some to my daughters because they hold memories for them. I usually do a frame project for my Create for Christmas class as well. This is one from two years ago.

  1. Here is what I came up with. I haven't had time to search out frames this year for my class yet, but I had frame that had a pic in it that I removed and updated this frame a bit with the Lemon Lime Twist ribbon. I think it accents the Old Olive in the DSP. I embossed the mittens and snowflakes using Copper Embossing Powder, added a strip of copper washi tape as well. I molded the ribbon a bit and made the tails of the bow stay using glue dots. The long framed strips I used Tear & Tape to adhere it in place.

These are so cute! I love this bundle. I have to say I'm super impressed with your punch art on the first card too. Great job on that one as well!

The sentiment on your throwback project is perfect. I keep looking at it saying, "Remember when..." there was no Big Shot?! What?! I don't because thank goodness when I started stamping there was already the Big Shot. I love your new mitten card and your framed art is beautiful!

Super cute! You did a good job making the mittens out of oval dies on your original card xx
