Last week was my birthday and my girls got me a new Sock Monkey for my collection. Is she not the cutest? I love her! Thanks girls and I love you too! So in celebration of my birthday and a new Sock Monkey I had to make a card. I haven't named her yet. Do you have any good ideas?
Here's a little closer look a the card.
I have such a neat card to show you tomorrow so be sure to stop back.

Sew Great
I've got a couple cards for you today, but first an update on my aunt. Her cancer was contained and they were able to remove it all and her path reports were negative. No spreading to the lymphnodes. Praise God! "Sew" that is great news!!! Speaking of sewing here are a couple of cards I created using the MDS sewing stamp set.
I love how you can size them on your computer and print them out for your project. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. And don't forget that the last day of Sale-a-bration will be Thursday, March 31. Get your last orders in and receive a FREE SAB product.

Thinking of you Hybrid
I can't believe it's been way over a week since I posted last. My aunt had her surgery and she is doing good, but we are still waiting for the path report and praying and expecting good news. I also got our income taxes done and filed and have got a good jump on some paperwork around here that has been in the "when I get time" pile. Today has been finishing up odds and ends and I got the cards made and ready to send out to those who left a guess on my blog post asking if you knew what the container was I had used here. If you guessed and didn't leave me an address to send you a card please do so and I'll still send you one.
Well this didn't get posted last night. Almost had it ready to go and then our usual evening routine got underway I guess and Frank wanted to eat supper. He's like that you know. *wink* Anyway here is the card and I used Stampin'Up!'s My Digital Software for the stamped piece. I printed it with my printer and then colored in using my Stampin'Write Markers. I even printed the background using MDS. Recognize the pattern? It's a lightened version of the Ice Cream Parlor DSP. I thought the Petals a Plenty embossing folder worked great for the base of the card. The Pom Pom trim is from the Occasions Mini Catalog. Isn't it cute? It comes in Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight and has 5 yds. per spool. Come on you know you need this.

With Sympathy
Last week a former high school classmate passed away from cancer. Melody was a sweet Christian woman who dearly loved the Lord and in fact had served the last 2 years as a missionary in Vanuata. I truly admired her an her husband to take on such an endeavor later in life. Even the tough journey she took here on earth the last few months was one of encouragement to so many people. She truly was a blessing right til the end. Until we meet again Mel......... This is the card that I sent her family.
I may not have much time for uploading in the next few days. My aunt is having surgery tomorrow so the next fews days may be busy for me. Please keep her in your prayers if you will. We are trusting the Lord that everything will go fine. Thanks.
Blessings,
Renee

Happy Easter Girl
Here is the make and take we did at Liz Robinson's workshop last week. She had a large group and I wanted something simple, but yet cute to highlight this stamp set and I think this card did the trick. The stamp set is called Easter Blossoms and you can get it in either wood mount (121905 $25.95) or clear mount (122057 $18.95) Here is what the full set looks like
Colors used were Daffodil Delight and Baja Breeze. You can order this set and everything else used on this card directly through me or through my Stampin'Up! Store.
Hope you've had a good Sunday. It's still snowing here in the Thumb of Michigan, but surely Spring can't be far away, can it? One can only hope.
Blessings,
Renee

A Baby Card
What is up with blogger? The way I upload has changed and I don't think I like it. Anyone who uses blogger know? Those that don't have no idea what I'm talking about because you really don't see anything different in my posts, but believe me I do.
Anyway onto why you are here. One of my sweet hostesses just had a baby girl so I was excited to make a baby girl card. I really don't get much chance to make baby cards these days. Don't know a lot of people having babies so it's fun when I get the chance to make a baby card.
I knew it had to have ruffles and it had to be pink. I used the sleeper from the Level 1 hostess set in the Occasions mini catalog and colored in with markers. The words are from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set. If you don't have that set your really should think about getting it. I find it so versatile and find myself reaching for it a lot.
Teeny Tiny Wishes 115370
Price: $36.95
Wait a minute, did you say 24 stamps in one set--and it's not an alphabet set? Wow! This set includes a greeting for almost every occasion. Don't just buy it, keep it handy, cause you're going to use it a lot!
Set Quantity: 24
You can order this set from my stampin' store anytime or contact me to place your order. As for the hostess set, you can earn it for free by hostessing a party with sales of $150 or even by placing a $150 customer order all by yourself. Book parties work as well.
Hope you are having a good weekend.

Renee
