Little Blue Evergreen

I just love this Evergreen stamp set that is available in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  I showed you another card in this post using traditional green, but I wanted to go out to the box a little and make it in another color.  I stamped the solid image in Bashful Blue and the second step in Marina Mist.  The paper is from the DSP stack in the Holiday Mini Catalog as well.  The words are from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

I am off to a Stampin'Up! party tonight and we will be using this set to make the card from the November 20th post.  I'll share the other card we are making tonight in a future post.

Blessings,
Renee

PS Don't forget to check out the special on the left top of this page.  Great idea for gift giving.

Curly Paper Wreath

When I saw the wreath that fellow demo Pam Steckman made, I just knew I had to make one.  So this past weekend my sister was here for Thanksgiving and we got together on Friday and created wreaths.  This was so fun and easy to make and actually quite relaxing.

I used the Candlelight Christmas Specialty DSP to make mine.  The directions said you would need about 6 sheets, but I used a little more than that.  I wanted mine to be really full.  I used a 12" wreath form.  If any of my local ladies are interested in making one of these please let me know ASAP and I will do a class.  Contact me for more details.

Here is a pic of us being silly.  Yes, Carin used a bigger wreath form than I did.

Thanks for stopping by!

Snowy Thanks

Hi there!  Are you surprised I'm back again today?  Well ok, it's evening, but it still counts for today.  I was determined to get some thank you cards ready to send and I needed to send several so I wanted a quick and easy way to make several.  I stamped a full sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock all over in Soft Suede, So Saffron and Pretty in Pink using the Snowflake Soiree stamp set and then I cut it into pieces for 6 cards and had very little waste.  I used the Snow Flurry Bigz Die to cut out the snowflakes using Pretty in Pink and Silver Glimmer Paper.  I did find this idea on line, but I changed one of the colors because when I tried Early Espresso it just seemed too dark. And my dimensions are a little different and I changed the saying.......well you get the idea.  The one I found HERE was my inspiration and I then did my own thing.

Hope you enjoyed this and you can purchase all the supplies to make this from my stampin' store or by contacting me.  As of right now that snowflake die will not be carried over so I suggest you get it while it's still available.  It will make a great addition to your collection.

Here's wishing you all a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Finally Some Projects

Seems like forever since I shared projects with you.  I'm really sorry.  Much of the same old story as to why not, but guess what folks?  I'm learning to say NO!!! And I'm learning it's ok.  I'm a fixer by nature and I am killing myself trying to fix and make everyone happy.  Can't do it anymore.  I'm learning that what I do will never be enough for some people and Renee is becoming more unhappy and that is NOT who I am.  There I've confessed it.  Can you all do me a favor and keep me accountable?  If you see I'm not posting on here.  Drop me an email. ibecakes@airadv.net and tell me you are missing my posts.  I truly believe my God given talent is to share the joy I receive from creating and I need to be more faithful to Him and do that.  It's what He's called me to do.  I love to craft and more importantly I love to share what I craft so keep me accountable..... PLEASE!!!  I will so appreciate it.

Now onto a couple of projects.  These were the make and takes at last weekends workshop.

I know it's hard to see in the photo, but the Bold Snowflake stamp (132338) $5.95 is stamped and embossed in Irridescent Ice Embossing Powder.  It really sparkles.  Maybe if I had a better camera?  Hint, hint to my family.  LOL!  It was then punched out with the Blossom punch.  Cool huh?  Another great use for that punch.  I first inked the stamp up with Versamark ink and then immediately inked it in Pretty in Pink and then stamped.  By inking with the Versamark it makes the ink wet longer and then you can embossed with embossing powder.  I love this technique.  You can emboss in any color this way.  The embossing folder used is the Northern Flurry which happens to be on sale through November 28 for $5.96.  That's a great deal.

This card is made using the stamp set from the Holiday mini catalog called Evergreen.  You would not believe how easy this card was to make.  I stamped the middle tree in Old Olive and then stamped again without reinking two more times to the left.  I then inked it up again and stamped it off on scratch paper and then proceeded to stamp two more times to the right without reinking.  Added my greeting from the set Delightful Dozen in Cherry Cobbler.  For a little sparkle I used the Dazzling Details on the center tree.  So easy.  You could create a bunch of these in no time.  I must confess that this idea wasn't my own.  I found it on Pintrest and is from fellow demonstrator Debbie Henderson.  I changed mine up a bit by adding the sparkle and the layer of Old Olive cardstock.

Well I hope you enjoyed these and will stop back again.
Blessings,
Renee

Holiday Extravaganza

I am so beside myself.  There is a big sale coming on Monday, November 19 and running through November 28 and I've been trying to share it with you here and I will admit I've been struggling a little.  Wish I was more computer savvy when it comes to PDF files and getting them posted, but alas I'm not.  Hopefully this link will give you the scoop.

Wow I think I've lost my mind.  I'm not sure why I struggled with posting this.  I was just drawing a complete blank in how to do it.  Duh!  It's been a long week with my mom in the hospital so I'm going to blame it on that.

This is an awesome sale and you can order directly from my website or call me to place your order.  As always if you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

Blessings,
Renee
