"OSAT Blog Hop - Birthdays Bash!"

Hi my stamping friends!  It's the OSAT blog hop today and everyone has some awesome projects to share with you.  If you started at the beginning of the hop you may have gotten here by the way of the ever so talented Sara Levin's blog.  This month's hop is a Birthday Bash and I've got a couple of cute projects that could be used for a birthday for most anyone.  Well maybe not your dad or your hubby or any one of the manly sort, but everyone else would be a go.

I decided I wanted to use the new set I got last week called Live, Love, Grow because it has a cloche in it.  I love cloches and if you could see my house you would know that to be the truth.  There is just something about them that I've always loved.  I wasn't sure why, but when I went to California I discovered it runs in the family.  My aunt and my cousin have collections too.  Here is the one I got while I was in California.  Of course I had to pick up a couple of hedgies while I was there too. *wink*

Here is my card using the cloche.  The set doesn't have a stand so I free-handed a stand with my basic black marker and cut it out.  It was super easy and I don't think you could tell it wasn't a stamp.  I thought I'd bring out my other new stamp set Pretty Kitty to put under the cloche since I hadn't used this set yet.  I added some clear Wink of Stella to the kitty and then an enamel heart to finish it off.  Oh, and the bow was a die from the Mini Treat Bag set and the lace from the Flourish die set.

For my 3D project I wanted to keep with the same theme and colors so I made a little wrap around cover for a little paper cup that I had on hand.  I did my own measurements for this and it really was quite simple.  I used two strips of heavy weight white cardstock that measured 2" x 7-1/4".  I scored each at 2", 4-1/2" and 6".  I over lapped them in the middle and glued.  The ends were punched with the Scalloped Tag Topper punch that is exactly 2" wide.

You can see the Wink of Stella better on this close up shot.

Well thank you so much for stopping by and please continue onto the awesome Melissa Davies
blog.  I always LOVE Melissa's projects.  If you get lost on the hop you can always come back and you will find the list here.

Blessings,
Renee

Now that's an original way to use the cloche stamp -- wouldn't have thought of it! Love the overwrap you created for your cup. That makes a wonderful presentation.

WOW! I just learned something new. I had no idea what a "cloche" was until now. I just thought that was a terrarium. Cool! Fun and adorable card.

Both projects are very cute! Obviously your love of cloches is because you like to trap things under glass! 😝 Great job sis!

Thank you for teaching me a new word! I had no idea those were called cloches. I love your adorable pretty little kitties and the hedgehogs too. Next time you're Cali see if you're anywhere near me.
