OSAT Blog Hop Fabulous Florals

Welcome to the OSAT May blog hop........Fabulous Florals!!!  I'm glad you've stopped by and I hope you enjoy my projects.   I decided to mix some of the retiring along with some of the new to come in my projects.  So you'll be getting a sneak peek at the new, but also a reminder of what is leaving us.

The beautiful Petal Promenade DSP is sadly retiring.  This paper is just gorgeous!!!  I love all the shades of pink and the great designs of the special sheets as well. Don't forget I'll be listing all the products used at the end of this post.  I started with my 3D project first this time because I had this little glass candle jar that I had saved after burning the candle.  I just can't stand to throw useful things away.  I started with covering the jar with the DSP.  That in and of itself made it pretty.  I then proceeded to use the Floral Essence stamp bundle to make a flower for the front of it.  This set is so pretty and I'm sure you'll want to get your hands on it come June 4.  The bundle includes the punch for the flower that I made and the leaves are punched with our current leaf punch.  How cool is that?

You could put a number of things in this, but I chose to use it for my SU watercolor pencils.  I think adding that Vanilla Lace ribbon just finished it off.
I used the bone folder to curl the flower petals and give the flower more dimension.  The centers of the flowers are the Share What You Love artisan pearls.  These little lovelies will be retiring as well.  I will be sad to see them go.  While they are the colors of the retiring In Colors, I have found them to work with so many of the other colors. It's almost like they are chameleon like when you put them with other colors than the color they are.  I just might want to stock up on a couple packs of these and I don't usually buy retiring items as a demonstrator.
My card is pretty much like my 3D project.  I used all the same things and added the Story Label Punch for the sentiment.  I like to layer my sentiments when at all possible and that's what I did here.  I punched a label with Soft Sea Foam and cut it in two right up the middle, lengthwise.  I then adhered half to each side of the stamped white punched out piece.  It doesn't completely frame it at the top, but that's not a problem.  I use this technique quite frequently.

Don't you just love this DSP?  Maybe I should get some extra of this too?  How about you?
Well thank you again for stopping by and I hope you will keep on hopping by clicking on the next person in the list below.

Blessings,
Renee

I agree with you! The lace ribbon was a perfect addition to your pencil holder.
