Welcome!!! It's the One Stamp At a Time blog hop and our theme is "I Need a Hero." Can you believe it? I almost missed this one. I hadn't been feeling real well and only realized Wednesday morning it was hop week. Well when I hear the word hero, I think of my hubby. I tell him quite often he's my hero and as a side note "our song" is Wind Beneath My Wings so I thought I'd make something to show him extra appreciation on how much I appreciate him since he is working a lot of hours right now.
I chose the Rooted in Nature set for my card because my hubby loves to cut wood. He cuts a lot of wood that heats our house and he has done this for probably 20 years. We have an outdoors wood stove that heats our house in the winter and also heats our hot water year round and heats our pool in the summer. It's a great thing and the fact my hubby likes to cut wood......well, we wouldn't want him to not do something he enjoys. LOL!
Then for my 3D project I decided to make him a little "wood crate" and included some Peanut M & M's. I cut the crate out twice. Once with Crumb Cake cardstock and once with the Wood Textures DSP. I then glued them together to make the box sturdier. I wrapped a 1/4" strip of Shaded Spruce around the box and added the two trees stamped in the same color and popped them up on Dimensionals. I tied the bag with the new 3/16" Braided Linen Trim from the new Holiday Catalog. This trim is so cute! You can separate it and show the weave in it, which is what I did here.
Thanks so much for stopping by and please continue on the hop from the list below.
Blessings,
