Make and Takes

Hey there!  How's your Tuesday?  Any better than Monday?  We started out with snow this morning, but the sun came out and it's around 40º now and the snow has melted.  Thank goodness.

I want to share with you today the make and takes that we did on Friday night at my party.

This first card is made using the Best Day Ever Sale-a-bration stamp set.  This set is still available for free  through today with a $50 order.  It's a fun whimsical set.  I used one of my favorite color combos Whisper White, Coastal Cabana and Real Red.  Don't forget that come June 1 Coastal Cabana will be gone so if you need to stock up on ink, refills or papers now would be a good time to do so.

This card is using a new favorite set called Sheltering Tree.  This set has so many possibilities.  It can be used for all seasons and occasions.    The colors here are Soft Suede, Wild Wasabi and Pistachio Pudding & Strawberry Slush (both retiring as well.)  My suggestion is if you want these colors or need extras of anything....embellishments, inks, papers, etc....don't wait until the last minute.  We never know when they could go into the while supplies last category.  Not trying to scare you, just want to make you aware how fast the next two months will go.

Here are this weeks deals.  Do you see the price on that Big Shot Magnetic Platform?  If you don't own it now would be the time to get it.  It's the best thing ever and with it you will love your Big Shot even more.  I know is that possible?  Look at all those Big Shot dies on sale as well.  Now's the time to order and if you do it today, you'll receive a free item for every $50 you spend, but you must do it today.  Today is the last day for Sale-a-bration.

Please let me know if I can be of any help to you.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Blessings,
Renee

Bunnies Three

I made these cute little bunnies to give to some little girls we know.  I think they are so cute.  Their headbands remind me of Olivia Newton-John and her Let's get physical video.  LOL!  I guess dating myself with that one.  LOL!  I cut them out using my Cameo Silhouette cutting machine and the pattern was a free one from SVGcuts.com.  Even if you don't have a Cameo, you could still get the free download and print it out and trace and cut on your DSP.    Would you like to receive one of these in the mail?  Anyone who places an order on my website by tomorrow and uses HOSTESS CODE RKNKDPE9 will receive the little kit in the mail to put together.  Hurry though, tomorrow is the last day for Sale-a-bration and earning free product.

Blessings,
Renee

A Special Happy Birthday

Hey there friends!  It's Sunday and the sun is shinning, although the wind is very chilly and it's only 25º this morning.  Spring seems to be slow in coming, but that's ok because at least with it being a slow warm up we aren't dealing with any water issues in our basement. Yay!

Today I have a card to show you that I sent to my forever friend, Leigh.  Leigh and I met when our kids were in story time at the local library.  I remember another mom telling me that she thought she was kind of snobby and that her husband was an engineer.  So that makes you snobby?  The life in a small town.  LOL!  Well those thoughts of that woman couldn't have been farther from the truth.  Leigh and I clicked and little did we know that that click would lead to a 22 year and still going strong friendship.  Leigh doesn't live here anymore and has moved back to her home town probably 15+ years ago, but our friendship has not changed.  Do we see each other as often as we would like?  No, but that doesn't change things.  Every time we talk, text or see each other we pick up right where we left off like no time has lapsed.  Now to me that is true friendship.  I thank God that he allowed Leigh and I to become friends.  We've been there for each other through it all....the good, the bad, the ugly, no matter the distance.  I feel so blessed to call her my friend.  So HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! my dear sweet friend.  Love and miss you so much!  May your day be blessed!

Blessings,
Renee

A Great Saturday!

What a great Saturday it has been.  I was awake early, but turned Pandora on and went back to sleep.  The house was so quiet.  I got up and baked a cake to decorate for pickup tomorrow.  I then received a text from my baby girl Brookie that she was going to come out and craft with me and she brought lunch.  Could it get any better?  We made the most adorable project using my Cameo.  She loves turtles so of course she wanted to make something turtle-ish.  I found a download from the Silhouette Store and we went to work.  Here is what we made.

Is this not the cutest turtle you ever done seen?  I know, bad grammar.  LOL!  We used Pistachio Pudding, Wild Wasabi and Chocolate Chip cardstock.  The bow was made from some retired Primrose Petals ribbon and of course we had to add some bling using the Self-adhesive Pearls.  The eye was a pearl too that I colored with a Sharpie black marker.  Everything used was Stampin'Up! except for the marker.

Then as if the day couldn't get any better, my hubby added a couple of shelves in my stamp room so that I can get a few things up off the counter and leave me more work space.  He got home from work and Brooke asked him if it would be possible (she always has such good organizing ideas) and he ran uptown and got what was needed and put them up right away.  Yay me!!!!  Thanks Brookie for the idea and thanks my Frankie Boy for doing it so quickly.

Then to top the day off, the order from our Origami Owl party came.  My sister Michele is a designer for them so my girls and myself had a party for her.  She needed someone to practice on and I guess we were good practice.  We had a great party and got lots of free stuff.  You can check out her website above if you are interested in ordering or learning more.  It's really nice quality and it's fun to create and put together that special piece of jewelry that has real meaning to you.  I will try and take a pic of some the things we got and post later.

Ok, I guess I've rambled on enough.  I need to go and finish decorating that cake.  I got distracted somewhere along the way.  LOL!

Blessings,
Renee

Have I Got a Bunny for You!

I'm going to call today Terrific Tuesday.  Why?  Because I've been able to be in my office all day, well after I got the laundry done, and play with my Cameo some more. I'm so glad that a couple of weeks ago I organized a bunch of my 12" x 12" paper.  It is now out in the open where I can get at it easily so those luscious Stampin'Up! colors are right there for me to see.  As you will see with today's projects I used Coastal Cabana and Strawberry Slush.  These are colors that will only be available until the end of May since they are In Colors and will have been around for two years.  I am so sad to see these go.  Coastal Cabana has got to be my favorite of all time.  I've used in for Summer projects, Winter projects and everything in between.  It is a color that has really coordinated with so many other colors.  Here is another bunny I made using my Cameo.  I used all Stampin'Up! products.  The bunny itself in made from Blushing Bride.

Don't you think the Coastal Cabana Thick Bakers Twine works great for whiskers?  This time I used the bow tie image that came with the bunny download.  It may be just slightly larger than the Bow Die Punch.  I attached his nose, feet and bow tie with SU Dimensionals.  Almost wish I would have done that to the ears as well.

I then had to try the cute little Easter Egg box that also comes in the download.  I used the Petite Petal Punch and punched out 5 of the flowers.  I spritzed them with water and crumpled them up and stacked and attached with a Mini Brad.  I then positioned them how I wanted and let them dry.  The leaves are from the Bird Builder Punch.  To finish it off I added a Rhinestone on top of the brad.  The Happy Easter is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and punched out with the Modern Label Punch and attached with Dimensionals.  The top of the box has a piece of acetate and helps keep the candy in the box, although I'm sure it won't last long in the box.  ;)

Here's Mr. Bunny with the egg box.
Here the bunnies are together.

Thank you so much for letting me share my projects.  I promise I will get back to some stamping.  I love that I can use a machine like the Cameo Silhouette and use my Stampin'Up! goodies with it because I will always be a SU gal.  No fear there.

Blessings,
Renee

My First Cameo Project

Hey there friends!  I'm not sure if I shared with you the fact that my family gave me a Silhouette Cameo for Christmas.  It is an e-cutter machine that lets you cut out all kinds of designs and projects and in all kinds of media.  The most basic being cardstock and vinyl.  I know there are lots more things it can do, but for now that is what I know and I'm working at perfecting that first before I go any farther.  I wanted this machine so that I could use SU's beautiful designer papers and cardstocks to make 3D type decorative/gift ideas.  I had first found out about this by watching a video by SVGcuts.com and then I started dreaming.  I have such a good family so when I said I would like one, they of course listened.  I received it for Christmas, but with health reasons and lots of other not fun stuff it sort of got put on the back burner, but I've really been wanting to have some fun time with it.  Well, since my birthday was yesterday, this week is my fun time.  So here is my first project.

I bought the cut file from SVGcuts.com, downloaded it into the program and then went to work.  Once I got the pieces cut, putting it together was very easy.  The machine not only puts in the score lines, but also the numbers to tell you what order to put it together and it's all cut out for you.  This little cutie stands about 9" tall and 6-1/2" wide.  The head lifts off and you can put candy or a gift inside if you so choose or you could just use it as a decor item.  I will admit there is a slight learning curve with this machine.  Even though I am quite tech savvy when it comes to computers, this little machine has had me scratching my head at times.  Yes, you do use it with your computer.  I used all SU products to make it and the bow tie is made using the Bow Punch.  There was a file to cut the bow out, but punching one out quickly with my SU punch was way easier.  I used SU brads and the Candy Dots for the eyes.  The feet are attached using SU dimensionals to give some added dimension.  I think this machine will be fun to use and of course I have plenty of SU products to make my projects.  Oh, I almost forgot.  I stamped the body and head using the little flower from the set From the Garden.  The colors I used were Whisper White and Strawberry Slush.

Well I hope you enjoyed this.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.  Thanks as always for stopping by.

Blessings,
Renee

Weekend Catch Up

I was very busy last weekend with the scrapbooking retreat, but I have to say I think it was the best one ever.  The theme was awesome, the devotions spoke to the heart, the fellowship was wonderful and I had great sales.  I want to share some of the things that I made and sold for the retreat and then the last pic will be of the make and takes.  Hope you enjoy them.  If you have any questions, please let me know.  Oh and I have a couple things left for sale if you are interested, please contact me.

These are little hand-sanitizer holders.  They include a mini hand-sanitizer from Bath and Body.  They would be a great little gift and would be so cute in an Easter basket.

These are little candy treat holders.  And yes, the pastel M&M's are in a certain pattern.  My OCD issue.  LOL!

Easter basket made with the Berry Basket die.  These are so cute and a great way to give a little treat to someone special.

These were the make and takes from last weekend.  A fun fold card and a Easter Bunny treat box.

Last, but not least, this is the treat I took to share.  They are Peeps dipped in chocolate and then dipped in mini M&M's.  Easy to make and so pretty to look at, but they taste yummy!
Blessings,
Renee

Hello Life

Well a lot of things happen in life that we have no control over and today I have to share one of those things with you pertaining to SU.  SU has announced this morning that the Blendabilities line of markers have been discontinued due to quality issues.  SU had to make this tough decision and did not take it lightly.  While many of you may have purchased and received markers that are perfectly fine, many have not and this is unacceptable to SU and their quality standards.  At this time there is not another product to replace them, but I am confident that SU will continue to find a manufacturer that will meet the standards.  I will keep you posted as I know more.

Bunny Basket

Well Monday is almost over.  Are you adjusting to the time change ok?  The Spring forward always gets me bad, but after a couple weeks I should be good.  Until then I will be zombie like.  LOL!

Brooke (my youngest DD) came over on Saturday afternoon and we did a little creating.  I had wanted to make one of these bunnies, so that was our project.  He's made using the Oval framelits and various punches, along with the Petite Purse Die.  I will be teaching how to make these at the Bay Shore scrapbooking retreat this weekend.

The SAB DSP is a great paper to use on these bunnies along with the Best Day Ever stamp set to make the spots on the bunny.  I used Blushing Bride cardstock, but really any color would work.

Time to call it a night!
Blessings and thanks for stopping by.

Hello Life Project Kit

Hey there my stampin' friends!  How's your Saturday going?  Mine is very slow and not much happening, although I really need to make some things happen today.  Yikes!  I have one week until I do my semi-annual scrapbooking retreat and I'm not ready.

Well here is one project I worked on this past week for my display.

This is a kit that is available in the Occasions Catalog.  It's on page 6, the item number is 137949 and the price is $24.95.  It's a great kit and there are pieces left over to use for other projects as well.  The rack is included too.  I have this hanging in my kitchen right now and it sure brings a smile to my face when I see it.  Those two beauties might look familiar.  They are my beautiful daughters, who I love to the moon and back and then some.

Hope you enjoyed this project.  Oh and don't forget to set those clocks ahead tonight.  One of my least favorite nights of the year. ;(

Blessings,
Renee
